Finally managed to visit the place - be sure you make booking if you want to go there Saturday eating time ;-) - place is famous and crowded. Not to repeat opinions - interior design - simple, modern, not typical old-school Asian restaurant. Wide offer of different dishes - soups, starters, rice, wok dishes etc. We checked following:
GUAI TIAW PET - great, really unique taste and everyone should try it - sweet, thick but with clear taste - I really loved it:), you can say maybe less soya sauce, but this is it - duck meat, herbs - go for it :)
TOM YUM GUNG - was just right - spicy, clear taste, but cause I cooked it already several time on my own and tried in several places I would suggest removing lemon grass - otherwise for me it was disturbing. Generally soups nice, worth eating, warming your body.
PAD MED MA MUANG with chicken - it is in WOK section, so together with my friend we expected something more fried. Thick, sweet sauce with cashew - nice to eat but very similar to the ones served in other Asian restaurants (not Asian fast food bars;-))
GUNG SAUCE MA KHAM - 6 big shrimps, (but you cannot really get full with this dish), in tasty sauce with clear tamarind flavor. In the menu they are breaded but waiter offer us not breaded and we went for that options, so no idea if observation is valid only for such serving, but they were served on sth like oyster chips? or no idea what but not very delicious in my opinion, It soaked lots of tasty tamarind sauce and made it hardly possible to eat the sauce with rice , Pasta we got was overcooked and rice was served after we got our dish cause they run out of cooked rice (ok waiter came and asked if we want it undercooked - but in our opinion it was already cooked so we accepted it or we want to wait 3 more minutes - but he did it only after serving our meat...)
What really spoilt our visit was the waiter - not only he was simply not nice - e.g. leaving us in the middle of conversation with him, forgetting what we ordered or not really bothering we need to wait long. As mentioned above he also brought main dish without rice - and the rice needed 3 more minutes, so the dish had time to become colder :/. Ok the place was full but I guess this is problem of some smaller Warsaw restaurants - they are not ready for their success - c'mon. If you are full either hire more people or teach them better - there are your face :(.
To sum up - recommended for soups, for the main dish - depending where you live - for me it is not worth travelling the whole way from Mokotów, but maybe because I'm picky when it comes to Asian food - if you like exotic taste, adjusted to Polish preferences but still with its original flavors, I guess it's a must on Warsaw culinary map and then it's up to you whether to repeat it or not.
PS Remember abt booking if you go there during weekend and be careful, it's hard to notice place from the street especially if ur driving. read more
