Fantastic beer list! There are numerous options from pale ales to ipas to stouts to barleywine to new England ipas. Good variety of countries represented - you can local German but also US beer. Nice relaxed atmosphere in their beer garden outside perfect for a beautiful autumn evening.

There seems to be some negativity about this place in other recent reviews and I am struggling to understand why to be honest. If this pub was in Glasgow, I would visit it ALL the time. It's first and foremost a craft beer bar which in Germany is amazing any way you look at it, as there is an abundance of bier halls doing (in my opinion) average German Pilsner and Hefeweizen, but seems to be much fewer craft beer bars doing hoppy iPa's and pale ales from around the Globe. The decor is like you would see in many bars of similar ilk. Plenty of exposed brickwork, metal, wooden tables & stools and a general industrial feel. The staff were friendly, helpful and knowledgable about the beer they were serving. The German IPA (yes German IPA) on draft was AMAZING and when I asked a staff member to bring me a bottle of something different but as hoppy as he could think, be brought me an excellent bottled German IPA. Everything hit the mark for me in terms of it being a beer bar, but they also do great rustic food. I had a pork dish with potatoes and it was brilliant. So tasty and went just right with the beer. The menu is short, but that's the way it should be. They focus on doing a few great dishes to go with the awesome array of beers on offer. Easy 5 stars. If your looking for a craft beer bar you will not be disappointed, but equally if out for food then you will also love this place.

Trust me to find a craft beer bar, but then again that wasn't all that hard, particulary since I typed 'craft-beer bar' into Yelp and this was the one that came to the top of the list. Anyway they have a sample of different types of craft beers (though unlike Australia they didn't seem to have a name - they were just summer ale et al), and a pretty decent selection of cocktails as well. Actually, I thought I saw a menu that said 'beer cocktails' and I'm not sure if they were beer cocktails or beer and cocktails. Anyway, it's a pretty cool bar, though if it happens to start raining the outdoor area sort of becomes unusable, but it is still a pretty cool place to check out nonetheless.

Finally an alternative for when Moloko is full. I only went in here for a glass of wine and it is a fun place with a great own style. The prices are fair and definitely a spot to have a drink or two...

Sigh.... where do I even start with this one. If I have a friend visiting Frankfurt, I take them here. They have a variety of craft beer and almost all of the good microbreweries in Germany are showcased here. The staff is friendly, and the people that go there are classy, but not pretentious like the crap you'll find on Fressgasse. I also know that many people go here have an affinity for craft beer. I feel I fit in well... So what is the problem? I feel there are so many things at this point that I'm starting to find it frustrating. When Naiv came about, it was cool and there was nothing like it in Frankfurt. Due to Germany being a bit behind and still being a beer loyalist country (I'm sorry, but drinking one beer for your entire life just sounds horrible, but that is just my opinion and my adventurous nature), there is STILL nothing like Naiv in Frankfurt. Usually, this is rare as competition typically knocks on the door within months of one business' opening. In other words, Naiv has a monopoly on the craft beer scene in Frankfurt. And they have since their opening. This sounds grand for most businesses, BUT.... Naiv has become complacent. So much that they are starting to bore the hell out of me. Now I get it, Germany is not exactly at the forefront of the craft beer scene. There are limited (micro)breweries here and the blends the breweries introduce are by no means innovative, unique, or make me think like some of what is introduced in other countries (US, Canada, UK, Scandinavia, etc). And that is fine. But maybe Naiv should take their position as being the 'craft beer go-to place' in Frankfurt and offer something new every so often. I'M SOOOO BORED. I miss rotating beers. I don't even care if they are German! Just give me something new. The only German beers they have worth drinking over and over are ones from Crew Republic and And Union, both Munich breweries that have a solid portfolio across the board. But I'm a craft beer lover. I want something new. Import the stuff if you have to. Leave most beers as German beers, but import something to rotate your beers and offer something fresh to customers. They can say they offer stuff, like the beers from Kona Brewery (which is a good brewery... I've even been there in person), Steamworks (awesome Canadian brewery), but those have been there for months. Leave them there and work on offering some newbies here and there. I just wish they'd keep me wanting to come back on my own. Not going there solely because I have a friend in town. Their store is awesome, on the other hand. Still lacking new beers in the frequency other brew shops do, but we are talking about the same place as above, so I'm not going to reinvent the wheel here. Another complaint of mine in the 'I think they are giving up' department is they are now latching on to the gin craze. PICK SOMETHING. Pick something and be awesome at it. If you have a monopoly on the craft beer scene after like two years, stick with that and make people love it. I know Germans are a struggle with this, but do something to engage people more than offering a craft beer festival (that literally is only Americans going there) or beer tastings every so often. Now they are on to the gin tastings and I'm like 'meh'... they are losing their mojo. The food is also pretty expensive. I ordered fries there today and they were going to charge me 5,90. Needless to say I went down the street and got two sushi rolls for 3/4 that price. Insanity. Naiv could be a 5/5 if they wanted to be... but I really feel like they are losing themselves and becoming very complacent. When I stop in there and ask the bartender what is new on draft and he tells me a German pilsner, don't expect me to be a happy customer. Every time a keg is done, they should replace it with something new (if feasible). Every time I go in there, they should have at least 3-5 new beers for me to try. I go to Naiv like once a month or a little less. If they rotated beers and I knew each beer was there for a limited time until sold out, I'd be there 3 days a week. Just saying............. If I was to make suggestions for this place, they'd be as follows: 1) Rotate beers. I spoke about it above so no need to rehash that. 2) Get customers involved more often. Once a month have people taste three beers and make it the next beer sold on tap. Not necessarily that, but have your customers engaged a bit more. 3) Offer a bigger variety. So yall have one saison on your menu in the actual bar. It's been the same saison for forever. Maybe rotate it with a new one or add another option. Add that Rye IPA. Goses are all the rage right now, but I can't get one inside of the Naiv bar. 4) Gain industry knowledge. When I was just in England I was sat at a brewery shop bar conversing with the staff and talking about beer. Would never, ever happen here as people don't have the same passion for it. 5) Utilize UNTAPPD!

Great beer selection, IPA on tap among others. The beers on tap change. Food was pretty good, no complaints. Service was also good.

Rather than stare into the abyss of Gate Z-97, I did what any reasonable adult would do: I escaped on a train into town. Best decision of the trip. This place was an absolute oasis. Staff was warm, friendly, and spoke English (thank you, global civilization). Beer was exactly as advertised -- cold, honest, and doing the Lord's work. Food was excellent and arrived faster than my flight did. The place was immaculately clean, which I noticed immediately because that's what we do now. Even the bathrooms downstairs were spotless -- a bold move and one they pulled off flawlessly. If you're stuck in Frankfurt with a long layover, don't panic. Get on the train. Come here. Have a beer. Eat well. Remember why traveling used to be fun before airlines ruined it. Highly recommend. Would delay my flight again (not really, but you get the idea).

Service: they are very busy hut they make do, u must call them with your attention, there were many huge parties around us, and still they got our orders out. It does take a while, so I suggest ordering pretzels they come out faster. Food: pretzels were meh, just something to much on while waiting on food. The pork foot on the other hand, was so good, very moist, lots of flavor. The saucerkraut that came with it was warm as well and tasted differently that the ones that came with the sausage. The potato dumplings were my first time but they were interesting and chewy! The gnocchi was okay. Some pasta if u like, nothing amazing. I liked the sausage taster though I forget what it was called exactly, but it had different sauces and different sausages to try. I also enjoyed the radler, it was sweet enough to enjoy the beer and it's sweetness.

It also leaves me not feeling 100 lbs heavier after eating it, but rather pretty guilt-free. I ate at Lizza at the Frankfurt Food Truck Festival last weekend. The fact that they offer low-carb and guilt-free pizza really appealed to me. The team running the stand was smiling and genuinely looked like they enjoyed what they were doing! They even struck up a conversation with me as the festival had just started and wasn't super busy (which it became later). They offered three or four choices of pizza and I ordered one with arugula and parma ham. The wait was around five minutes to get the final product. I was a bit hesitant as the crust is made of flax and chia seeds, but it turned out to be tasty and not bloating at all! I would have liked to have ordered one of their vegan/vegetarian options but one was with asparagus and the other had broccoli on it, which I'm not entirely fond of. The arugula and parma was well suited to my hunger and was delicious! It is nice to see places like this pop up. While they may not be the best place to serve everyone (I can't see an 85 year old Sicilian man stoked to have a low-carb pizza), it is ideal for me and many others out there. It is particularly great to see places like this do well and emerge on the street food scene for those with food allergies and intolerances. Nice job Lizza! I will be back and try some of your other products when I can muster up the excitement to consume broccoli or asparagus! :)
