I started seeing Kayla because she offers the Aprés Gel-X nail extensions. They're like acrylic nails, but gel. They last longer on me, look more natural, are more flexible, and much much quicker than building acrylics or gel nails. Also, they're much less damaging on my nails since they don't life the way acrylics do on me. So if those are issues you've had in the past, hit Kayla up! She's super sweet, and has a lot of colors, glitters, and stamps to pick from.

She repeatedly told me that she was 100% certain she could not achieve the shade I wanted because my natural hair is dark, and she also referenced my tan skin complexion as a reason. What is especially disappointing is that, after being told the color I wanted could not be achieved, my hair ultimately ended up approximately two shades lighter than the color I had originally requested. I also requested long layers and showed pictures of the hairstyle I wanted. Unfortunately, the haircut I received was not what I requested and, in my opinion, was very poorly executed. After everything was completed, the stylist acknowledged that she may have misjudged or misread the shade in the pictures. She also told me that I could return if I was unhappy with the results. However, after spending over $500 on my hair and receiving neither the color nor the haircut I requested, I no longer feel comfortable or confident having the same stylist work on my hair again. I made every effort to clearly communicate what I wanted by providing multiple pictures, shades, and examples before and during the service. At no point did I feel that my requested color or hairstyle was truly taken into consideration. I am completely disappointed with the overall experience, especially considering the amount of money I spent and the level of experience I was told the stylist had.

Given the multi-locations and multi-techs it took awhile to book a time that suited me. I did think they are overpriced compared to other nail salons. I had a very pleasant experience in person.
