A lot of people say "I'm not ready, I need to work out more before I try CrossFit," but the trainers can help you get a great workout scaled to any level, and you'll see results quickly. Not only will they get you a great workout every time (and it's always different, they're always changing things up) but you will get the group class experience to push yourself harder. You will meet a lot of great people that will encourage you and inspire you. Most of the workouts are short high intensity workouts, with a warmup and strength skill before class (like bench press, squats, or deadlifts, etc) and some days incorporate Olympic Lifting or Gymnastics. I can't say enough good things about it, you just have to try it :) They do a free intro too! **EDIT** I've been going here 4 years and since I first posted my review, I'm actually a trainer here now. I am a newbie to the gym and chose to get a membership at Anytime Fitness. I like how many…read morelocations they have and find smaller gyms to be less intimidating. Initially, I signed up at the Towne Center branch, but after trying out the Coursey location, I prefer it despite the longer drive. The Coursey gym is more spacious and has a layout that creates distinct sections, unlike the Towne Center location, which feels like a single rectangular room. The gym is not overly crowded in the mornings, which is a plus. However, there are a couple of drawbacks: both locations have outdated smith machines with a platform at the bottom that restricts the barbell from going low enough to do hip thrusts or Romanian deadlifts. I really wish they would upgrade their smith machine like they did with the squat rack! Additionally, the women's bathroom consistently has an unpleasant odor. Overall, the gym is nice, people are pleasant, I've enjoyed coming here, but there is room for improvement.

I didn't realize exactly how nice this location is until I visited another location. The other location made me want to just walk out and stay fat and unhealthy. The owner/ owners of the Coursey location has done a very good job with upkeep and with the quality of employees. I'm very pleased with this gym, you won't be disappointed if you join. My hours are flexible enough that I tend to go when it's not too busy in the middle of the day, so that may be part of it. Regardless of this, the gym is large and surprisingly quiet with the music playing just at the right level (not loud enough that I can hear it over my own music, but loud enough that I can enjoy it in the off chance I forget my headphones). The facility is also super clean, which is not something you find in every gym. The employees are very friendly - I've always been greeted when I arrive, and someone usually calls out "have a great day" as I'm walking towards the door to leave. There are so many machines and machine types to choose from if you're there for cardio. The equipment appears to be well-maintained, but as with all Planet Fitness locations, there are a limited number of programs on each machine. So, if you're ok with those limited options or are open to creating your own unique workout manually, then these machines are great. A little frustrating, but easily adaptable! There are also plenty of weight machines and free weights. I've never had to wait long to use a machine, even if that means adjusting my routine.

I decided to do the free trial here because this location is convenient. I read a couple reviews before going and it didn't look too promising. It is a small gym and not super crowded, so that is a plus in my book, as you will probably never have to wait for a machine, but it didn't really take me that long to figure out why. I went to their website before going inside and registered for a free trial, but when I went inside the lady said the website is wrong (strange because it is a chain gym) and the trial is $10. In addition to that, for the time period that I wanted, I could get a premium membership (fitness consultation, body scan, and access to hydromassage beds, tanning beds, and light therapy room) at club 4 fitness for 1/3 of the price. They were having a deal at the time that made the premium membership cheaper for the first month. Club 4 also has an actual 3-day free trial, which I used for all 3 days. The gym itself isn't that bad, I was able to find everything that I needed for my workout (was doing push that day, so maybe not for pull/legs), and most of the equipment is in good shape. It is also worth noting that they have a complimentary fitness test, but you have to go elsewhere for it (and might be able to get the same thing by going to a different Anytime Fitness) In the end, I decided on club 4 even though it is 10 minutes further. I have been going there for a month and have also hired one of their personal trainers.
