Not only did he not charge my anything to fix it, but showed me how to do it properly and safely myself. I brought my bike back for a tune-up later on, and it looks & feels brand new, running smooth. There's a 60 day guarantee on adjustments made, but I don't think I'll need to bring it back for a while :) Thanks for restoring The Black (Rocky Mountain Metropolis)!

October 27, 2019…read more It's a rainy day today and I can't ride my bike so I must write a note as to what happened on the morning of August 15, 2019. My bike needed some repair so I decided to take it to Spoke & Sprocket on 1890 Hyde Park Rd. London Ont. N6H 5L9. The owner gave me a price to repair it which I agreed to and told me to come back the next morning at 7:00 am and said it would be ready. At 7:00 am sharp the next morning I showed up and he went to get my bike. He went to pick the bike out of the repaired pile but could not locate it. Somehow it was delegated to be repaired that afternoon. He was extremely apologetic and told me to return in 1 hour and it would be fixed free of charge for his mistake. I returned in one hour to find new brake pads installed front and back with new cables. He also replaced the shifter cable and adjusted the shifter so it meshed properly in all gears. He also greased the chain and sprocket and yes it was FREE. I only have the most highly regards to this man and his company for his outstanding service. I bought my mid-high end bike here in 2012. Last week I broke a small part (it happens), and as a…read moreresult, I smashed up a bunch of the back end pretty badly. Rather than try to fix it myself, I brought it in for repairs. The repair guy in the back was very helpful about explaining what needed to be fixed and why. For each damaged part, he gave me the option of replacing it entirely with the same part, replacing it with a more affordable option (and explained the performance difference), or of leaving the old part there (and explained what weakness it may cause if I did). He didn't pressure me to replace any unnecessary parts (I already had an idea of what I'd damaged), and he didn't try to upsell me to more expensive parts. He also offered me an affordable option for labour (just the cost to swap the parts), or the option to pay a little more and get a tune-up and cleaning on the entire bike at the same time, with the installs included. I opted for the whole package, and he asked me follow-up questions about anywhere else I was noticing issues on the bike so they could get everything in one go. They gave me a estimate for all the parts and service and told me they'd call if it was going to be any more expensive. I checked the price of parts against online options and other stores, and found everything to be within a couple dollars of what I'd pay elsewhere. Overall, good service, no sales pressure, and would recommend.

Stop in to see for yourself! Ryan was amazingly patient and spent a lot of time with us to help us be comfortable with the new bikes we were looking for. Our commutes in London will be more comfortable and enjoyable thanks to his insight, suggestions and assistance. The mechanics, although busy with spring tuneups, etc. took the time to help us out and no one seemed inpatient with our continuous questions and "what ifs"! Options at all ends of the spectrum were offered with knowledgeable considerations explained for each. Thank you, great customer service. We are happy to have found "our bike shop".
