I figured there would be a pharmacy in the Frankfurt Hauptbahnhof, and thankfully I was right. The pharmacy, located in the basement of the train station, was much larger than I would have expected. It was a little confusing because there was not a designated line. I figured this out quickly when I received some dirty looks from customers- oops! I looked around the store for some allergy medicine, but with the language barrier, this was a little difficult. The pharmacist was super helpful and directed me to some nasal spray. It was less than 5 euros, which was a pleasant surprise. The nasal spray was a great help!

People regularly come and go so it should be easy to find parking even on a busy Saturday. You can make a day of it and do leisurly clothes shopping, grab a snack or eat lunch with several choices in food, hit the drug store and then close out the day doing your weekly grocery shopping. This may not be the "German" way and some may revolt the idea of mall shopping but if you have been to the US or are from the USA, you will appreciate the convenience of MTZ. PS: I think people should starting calling this mall MTZ because saying the whole name is difficult and time consuming.

The pharmacy manager, who is extraordinarily kind and caring, located and called a doctor for me and walked me to and back from the doctor's office so I could obtain the prescription. She had ordered the medicine in anticipation of my receiving the actual prescription so that it would be ready at the earliest time. Over several days, I had several prescriptions I needed to be filled, as my medications ran out during our longer than anticipated stay. Each time, the prescriptions were filled or ordered promptly.
