How fun was this?!?…read more I've never done an Escape Room before, but this seems to be a similar concept. There are multiple rooms (I believe around 50) each of which poses either a physical or mental challenge and for which you can collect "points" for solving. Some of the rooms have partial credit and some don't. You can redo each challenge as often as you'd like and you'll keep the points from your highest try (so don't redo one that you have received full points for!). Tips: 1) 3 people is probably the ideal team size. You need at least 3 for some challenges, and more might make some of them more difficult. It's fun if you come with enough people to form at least two teams so you can compete against people that you know rather than strangers (there is a leader board posted each day with the scores from all the teams that participated) 2) Wear comfortable clothes and shoes for the physical challenges! 3) The physical challenges are less time consuming and easier to solve (more points for the time spent). We wasted a lot of time trying to figure out what they wanted us to do in some of the mental challenges. If you can't figure it out after a try or two, you should probably move on. 4) After you get 1000 points you get access to certain "VIP" rooms which are more challenging. 5) Allot around two hours - although this sounds like a lot of time, it actually goes by quite quickly.

Came here with some coworkers during my first week on the job as part of the orientation program,…read moreand we all had a blast. There's several rooms and you basically run from one to one trying to complete tasks in each room. There were people of all ages, little kids running around but also older managers in their corporate suits. Loved it!

If you are afraid of heights, go somewhere else. If you wish to conquer that fear, this place will…read moredo it. Oslo Sommerpark features mountain biking, high ropes courses, and ziplining. I only had a chance to do the last two. I have done ropes courses many times through team building exercises, and I ziplined through the jungles of Costa Rica last year. There is one VERY significant difference between those experiences and Oslo Sommerpark... no rest for the weary. Every other ropes course would have a challenge station, where you would go up, complete the challenge, and come down. Then you would walk to another station. Same thing for ziplining in Costa Rica. You would go to one or two stations, scream your head off, then hike to the next one. Not in Oslo. Here you could have as many as ten different challenges in one go before you ever see a way to get down. Plus, you are self belayed with a magnetic system, so you are really on your own. (There is someone monitoring a few challenges at a time, but there doesn't seem to be a way for them to get you short of an emergency). If after five of these things you are tired of balancing on wires and just want to take a break, too bad so sad... keep going. That being said, it is a lot of fun. I was there with my team from work, and it was certainly a chance to unwind while climbing in the trees. I definitely recommend it, but you WILL finish what you start.

Always a must- okay maybe NOT if you have been twice and in the last 7 years…read more.. But if it's your first time in Oslo especially give yourself at least 2 hours to walk all the way in and about, around and out. This is a classic outdoor sculpture garden all done by one man-so not common. Massive grounds. Beautiful park walk and fountains and views. Iconic place and I highly suggest you go to his small museum first so you can get more history on Gustav Vigeland and the evolution of the his 200 pieces turning into the "Frognerpark."

This is a sculpture garden filled with over 200 sculptures (and over 600 individual figures)…read moredesigned by Gustav Vigeland from 1940 to 1949. It seems to be known as both Frognerparken (Frogner Park) and Vigeland Park. I doubt you have ever seen anything like this. I am including lots of photos because it's impossible to describe what this is like. The focus of the sculptures is the cycle of life and this is literally shown as babies turn into children, who then turn into adolescents, adults, and old people, and eventually die -- as the circle continues. You will notice that the statues are very realistic and are not romanticized in the least. They are regular human beings. You will also notice, of course, that they are all naked. The purpose of this is to emphasize their humanity without relying on class or wealth that becomes more obvious when people wear clothes. This might make some people uncomfortable, but it is done without any intention of being erotic. The inspiration for Vigeland's work comes from Rodin's nude sculptures. However, the realistic human statues remind me of Pompei -- real human people caught in a fragment of time. That said, is it worth your time while in Olso? Absolutely! This will overwhelm your senses and be etched in your memory -- in a good way.
