They allowed us to rent a cart right before a hurricane and ensured us all would be ok! Instead the woman Melissa came over (with the dude in the photo with the women in bikinis on Yelp) and told us we should've moved the cart to higher ground before the storm. They didn't even give us instructions to do that! They ensured us all would be ok and then treated us like garbage, no where even close to paying customers. We are on our third day of vacation and have no idea - nonetheless weathered a hurricane. They also kept telling us "they're not from here" and don't even know - what kind of business is this? I recently stayed in North Myrtle and rented a 6 person cart. The carts are brand new 2019 models. Anyways, I was nervous about renting a cart as I had heard some horror stories but this place is legit. Traffic in N Myrtle can be crazy so there's going to be a window of time for drop off and for pickup. N Myrtle is very cart friendly and it's way easier to have a cart than to walk or take a car to the beach, especially if you're staying a few blocks back from the water. The process was crystal clear and I was very happy to have a friendly small business in the area to rent golf carts! read more

I do NOT recommend this company. I called this company and explained to the woman on the phone what was wrong with our golf cart, already had it checked out by another professional, that company could not fit us in for 3 weeks, so I explained to the woman that I needed my cart picked up an a price to fix it, if I wasn't ok with the price of the cost to fix it,( other golf cart company was going to charge $340.00) then I would pay to get it back here to my home. She explained it would only cost me $75.00 to get my cart to and from And that I would hear back by end of day on price to fix it. I get a call that evening that it will be $1,100.00 to fix it. I say ok thank you but just go ahead and return my cart. Next day get call that I owe them $210.00 or I do not get my cart back. I asked to talk to manager in which they claim they didn't have one. I get in touch with mechanic who argues with me that there is fees to diagnose my cart, I explain if the gal on the phone took the notes they would see the cart was already diagnosed and yet must of been right bc it's exactly what the mechanic seen needed fixing an after 5 days of supposedly talking to the owner he says nope no refund. So I paid $210.00 for this company to do NOTHING for me and clearly was looking to make some quick money. All they were owed was the $75.00 transport fee. Per the woman who took my call to get a quote from them bc they were not able to quote over the phone, she said they needed my cart in person. They're scammers and I wouldn't recommend them to nobody. We ended up getting the parts from the other golf cart place who was just too far out for $65.00 in total and fixed our own cart. Sickening. They should be ashamed of themselves. And more people (I've talked to many after my experience) need to get on here and tell the truth about the company like I am today so less people can get screwed over by this company. read more

If you plan to rent from them make sure you cover yourself. Please be sure to walk the entire cart and take pics of any damage before you sign anything. Found there website the Sunday we arrived and pre paid for the week. No problem here as most places ask you to pre pay with a credit card. Get a call Monday morning early (still good to this point). They said that the cart would be delivered between then and noon. Then get a call around 11 stating that it would be there by 4 the reason we rented was that we had a mile walk to the beach with a child and a father in law with bad knee so we are waiting for the cart that I am already paying the day for. Driver calls after noon and apologizes that he is running late but on the way so I waited outside of the condo. Called later asking if I could see him. He was at the wrong address (more on that later). Gave him the right address and he was there in 15 minutes. When he got there I was allowed to believe that spell check messed up the address on my phone. We're still in a hurry to get going and the driver said it was a new cart ( I can't say if it was or not) and I did not go over it to cover myself. So after all of this I was still happy and was prepared to give a great review. Until our departure day that they told us we could just lock up the cart and leave the key on the battery. I got a text message stating I had been charged $136.06. When I called to find out why, I was told they tried to call me and sent me an email about damages. Was told that I curbed the wheel and scratched the paint on a brand new cart. Said they would take care of scratches and only charge me for the wheel that is curbed ( without a mark on the tire to boot). There is no help coming my way and I know it. They then send me an email after my wife left a review stating I gave them the wrong address without reading down far enough to see that I had the right one in it and they changed it. The. Stated they should have charged me more because it was a brand new cart. Ok, I understand getting charged for damage (torn seat, cracked body panels, a flat tire) things that cause them issues, but you are renting carts in a vacation destination. I'm sure you have insurance for this kind of thing as well. So all I want is to make sure they don't do this to anyone else in the future now as I know that I am at least the second person that it has happened to by the Better Business Bureau website. read more

Having a great experience with MB carts. I hd some confusion with their rates so I only booked for 1 week. It also takes a bit to learn the laws and regulations of the carts in town. Be sure to read up or ask them for a full explanation of the laws so you dont get yourself in any trouble. I will rent again and hopefully they will combine everything in 1 bill to help me save some money and they will keep dedicated customer. read more

What joke. Needed a 6 person golf cart for a week. We needed it to get around the park and out for a handicapped person. We were late getting to the state park. We called to arrange a later delivery due to a wreck at our destination. Once we arrived we waited for 2.5 hours because they went to the wrong place. Upon delivery we checed the cart out and the headlights did not work. The next morning we found the turn signals did not work and the cart did not want to engage. Called to let them know and was told to use arm signals and the engaging was normal. Wouldn't you know it, there is only one brake light.??The ranger let us know this needed to be corrected or we could not use it. I have continued to call for over 2 hours and there is only voice mail. Beware of renting from this company. 06/2018 update. We made another trip to the beach and at the last minute we decided to rent a golf cart. No one would deliver other than Myrtle Beach Golf Carts. Well let me tell you I was amazed with the difference in the service and carts. I am more than pleased with the customer service and company. I told them what time and where to deliver, they were on time and I was very pleased with all the information I was given. We had no problem at all. On the pick up day they were there when promised. Tourists BEWARE!!! The owner of this place, whom also owns Myrtle Beach Golf Carts is a class act scam artist at his best! This guy will treat you like gold and even cut you a better rate for paying cash as opposed to credit. While some would argue that paying cash is cheaper for a business, their operation relies heavily on folks not being able to dispute a charge with their major credit card company in the even if an ole fashioned screwing. We rented our six passenger cart only to discover on our first trip out that there was something seriously wrong with the front end. When I called in I was shuffled around with callbacks from at least three different people before someone was out to fix our cart. The gentleman who came out to fix it, Thomas, was very professional/friendly/knowledgeable which is all I can say for this company. Once our cart was repaired we took to the road. Not long after being out on our first trip we were pulled over by a police officer who informed us that we were operating an illegal vehicle on the roadway and ultimately we were given verbal warnings for four moving violations and told to bring the cart back to our hotel. I spoke to our front desk and we were told that golf carts are not allowed anywhere along the main strip of road and only on residential streets. Of course when we were in the process of renting the cart we were told we can drive anywhere that's not Highway 17, speed limits 35mph and below are allowed and no night time riding. The following morning we returned the golf cart shortly after the shop opened. I explained to the owner what we had gone through with the repairs and the encounter with the police officer and all he had to say was "did you get his name? If so, you should file a report on him for wrong doing"... whatever that is suppose to mean. Anyways I asked if he would be willing to give me some kind of refund beings we had returned the vehicle with a tank of gas and two full days early. He kind of smirked and said that his company doesn't offer any kind of refunds due to people not knowing where they can and can't drive. Thats where things really took a turn for the worse. I told him I thought his no refund was a joke and gave him a few choice words about how he runs his business at which point he balled up his fists and proceeded to get in my face and ask what I was going to do about it. My father in law stepped between us and told him he needed to chill out and gave the man a piece of his mind. I have every intention on filing a report with the Better Business Bureau when I return home and will be sure to let my future clients know to avoid this man and his lousy company. read more

A one star rating isn't low enough for this company. Renters beware! I rented a cart that showed up 6 hours late. The driver, Brian, states he went to the wrong street. No big deal, right? Well, two days later my sister in law comes in the house to get me and says 2 golf carts full of men are outside because I made a 1 Star review of their company. When I get outside, the man, who was the owner but never gave his name, was in my rental home yard. There were 2 golf carts with at least 6 large men. This man came to my home to challenge me about a one star review that I never made. I asked how dare he and he took the golf cart and sped out of the driveway. Leaving his gold cart keys that I had behind. I called the police out of total fear. I am beyond shocked and appalled by the behavior of he owner. Why did he bring all those men to me home? Rented from this company and had a very pleasant conversation with Cole, who informed us of all the areas that did not allow a cart. We opted for the 6-seater deluxe and really enjoyed having transportation to and from the Beach, as we were located on 2nd row in Surfside Beach. The company provided drop-off and Pick-up, which was very accommodating to our schedule. They do rent a high volume of carts but all our questions were answered by Christian and Cole, especially about liability. Excellent customer service. Our cart did not have the headlights working, but the cart is not to be driven at night per SC law, so it was a good reminder to park it and not incur a violation. It was such an enjoyable vehicle at the beach, I would highly recommend it's rental. We did not have any problems, and the cart was in excellent condition. We rented for a solid week, and did miss it during the last few days of our stay. I would rate the expertise of Cole and Christian...AAA+ and the rental of the cart a blast at the beach, even if you are located on the beach front. Give yourself a break and enjoy a Cart ride with family and friends. So convenient to nearby shops, and a constant beach companion. read more

I rented a 6-passenger golf cart. The rental cost was $517 for 5 days. I just so happened to look at my bank statement and credit card statements....they charged me over 1000!! They charged my debit card and my credit card $517 a piece! Soo glad I caught this!! They did refund me for their mistake. Soo I then I was wanted to keep the cart for a couple hours longer...they said it would cost me $250 or an extra $350 if I kept it overnight. I was flabbergasted! Way too expensive!! NEVER again will I rent from this establishment. I am a travel RN helping out the MB hospitals with the Covid crisis and they want to overcharge me like this? Went in to rent a golf cart...Chose to rent for 24 hours, thought we could enjoy riding around and getting around easier...Paid $200 deposit, $165 for the rental. Then we're told the rules of you could only ride on Ocean Blvd, back roads and to cross Kings Hwy and back, makes things a bit more limited!!! Also was then told it could not be driven after sunset!! Well what fun is that??? We left there and crossed Kings Hwy via the light to go to a surf shop and then crossed again to get breakfast at Bagel Factory and got a phone call stating we were driving where we weren't supposed to be!!! Decided to return the gold cart after 2.5 hours and said we wanted a refund for the full day and just pay for the time used and were told that was not possible!!! We told them that we were not happy with all the restrictions and we shouldn't have to be worried about taking a wrong road and getting a phone call!! They would not work with us at all, 2 of the employees were quite rude and did not care to listen to us!! Story is they do not explain the rules till after the fact, limited driving area, no night driving and refuses to give us a refund of $100 for the time that it was NOT used!!! Avoid this place at all costs!!!!!!!! Rented an 8 passenger vehicle for two hours. The cart would not turn left. We ended up almost getting killed because of it. I had five children with me. We ended up breaking down completely while trying to get back to the rental place. We had to walk a mile I the heat with my kids back to the place only to encounter the owner who lacks customer service completely. She was obnoxious about not giving us any type of refund. The facility is run by an incompetent owner who is only out for herself not the welfare of her customers. Her vehicles would never pass inspection. Avoid this place. read more
