Christy took on my case (a marriage dissolution, no children, no massive assets) when I was in an extremely compromised situation which didn't allow me to do any research, communicate very much or go do anything in person. It took about 10 months for us to coordinate everything but it was done in an expeditious manner for what the situation was and the desired outcome was absolutely achieved. Dealing with the courts can be a scary process. If you don't have something that's particularly messy that would require a skilled and experienced litigator, it's actually pretty easy to go in and just speak for yourself. Still, having someone to navigate the paperwork and rules of the court, prepare your motions for you and schedule your court dates is incredibly necessary as I found that to be the most difficult part. The State doesn't make it easy to get into the court room and ALL of the prep work before hand is really all that matters. This is where Christy comes in and nails it because the court date where you proceed in front of a judge is very hurried and rushed. If you don't have everything done before hand, you're gonna have a bad time.
Think of a Legal Technician as the paralegal, and you're the attorney who's doing the talking.
Long story short, I was in jail waiting for trial (for something that had nothing to do with my marriage or divorce) and Christy couldn't have been more understanding, accepting and simply focused on the task at hand. I haven't got a clue what I would have done without her help during that time and it certainly took a lot off my plate during such a stressful experience. I'd absolutely use her again if I needed to.
