I have been diagnosed by two different psychiatrists with ADHD and have been taken medication for it. My childhood doctor also agrees that I do have ADHD, and has thought so ever since I was of a young age. I have been seeing a personal therapist for ADHD for months also. But I'm our session she claimed that I do not have ADHD due to having good grades in middle school but my grades began to slip in high school. I brought up how I know many people with ADHD personally that have good grades and she responded by saying "Their parents probably paid to have their children diagnosed with ADHD.". This shows little to no knowledge on mental illness and little to no respect for this practice. She has shown little to no care about what I was there for. In the past she was taken to court by a client and found guilty. In 2009 the georgia state board of examiners of psychologists, sanctioned her license was granted BUT she had to take extra psychology classes and education courses to remain licensed to practice. This shows she is not only negligent, but also careless towards this extremely sensitive and professional career in psychology and therapy. Please do not ever go to her. One of her previous clients brought their son in for his depression and she kept insinuating that he did not have depression, months later he tried to commit suicide. Hopefully this has proved how incompetent and irresponsible this woman is in this practice. Thank you. Email me if you have any questions or want to see any court documents.

I saw him individually and for my marriage at the time. Most people that I talk to about counseling saw" what do I saw"? There is no script you need to say to your counselor. In my very 1st session, I cried for 30 plus minutes because I was in so much pain about my marriage heading for divorce. I was all over the place with my thoughts. Each time I went, I got better with crying in most of my sessions. Dr. Kola was patient and kind in letting me take my time to get to the root of my thoughts and feelings. Dr.Kola, by far, is one of the best counselors I have ever had. This is his calling. In 2021, I still see him, and now it became a family thing. My 23-year-old is seeing him also. His insight, encouragement, and mentorship will be a part of our lives until he decides to retire. We might still try to bother him in his retirement.

He said he believed they could accommodate that. Wrong. The company itself does not accept Medicare so I have to keep searching.

If you ask to speak to a qualified medical doctor - a psychiatrist - you will be referred to a nurse practitioner. This entire chain does not have psychiatric medical doctors on staff; and their nurse practitioners are not directly supervised BY a medical doctor - which is really kind of hinky if you ask me. I suspect that this chain - LifeStance d/b/a Georgia Behavioral Health - is one of those vulture capitalist corporations where they try to scoop up all the insurance and Medicare dollars they can; wring what money they can out of the business and then crash and burn the whole thing, leaving patients hanging a** to the wind with no competent medical psychiatric care. Their main concern is not your health. If you need qualified psychiatric medical care - look elsewhere. If you want to get COVID-19, this might be a good place to start.
