Don't file a grievance here they will retaliate and make your stay as uncomfortable as possible also they won't do anything about it, instead file one with the state. They gossip bad the staff it's like a high school drama in this place. Beware of Isis she is one of the counselors she will tell other patients and staff your business and complain about you to them but never to your face. She is the definition of messyyyy and a l*ar. She will neglect your needs twist your words and instigate issues between you and other staff and patients. All while judging you even though she has only spoke to you once... If you have health problems or special needs don't go here they won't accommodate you, rather they'll make you feel like a burden. The food they serve here is very unhealthy, so unhealthy to the point I had to buy my own. Meds and property ended up missing upon my discharge and while I was in there. Then miraculously appeared. I counted my pills I brought and 6 pills of one of them are missing.... Some of the nurses and techs are nice that's about it. Needless to say just stay far away from this place if you can. A surprisingly little amount of time is actually spent talking about addiction directly, because the program is more broad and provides clients with a holistic new way of being in the world. All of the practictioners here take different types of insurance, some take Medicare and Medicaid, and have different hours and availability. I have been a patient of Darrin Bronfman, LCSW for over 9 years now. We meet together on a weekly basis to address issues related to my diagnosed bipolar disorder, borderline personality disorder and PTSD. During the years i have taken jobs which required travel or had medical issues that kept me homebound and we still met via phone or Skype on a weekly basis. Mr. Bronfman has always made himself available for after hours coaching in emergency situations by email or phone. He takes more of a psychodynamic approach to therapy, combining cognitive behavioral and DBT concepts in as well. I have improved significantly in the last few years thanks to his coaching and support. Mr. Bronfman has also successfully met with friends and family members of mine over the years to help them understand my illness and behavior. For several years I was in a dating relationship and Mr Bronfman referred us to one of his trainees for couples counseling. The trainee was well educated and supervised throughout her work with us. She helped us come to the difficult yet necessary decision that our relationship was not sustainable. We appreciated her guidance and were able to remain friends beyond. The trainee has since gone on to maintain her own successful practice elsewhere thanks to her experience at Pathway. I attribute the work Ive done with Darrin to be critical to the improvements I have made in my illness, improvements I have made as a human being and in my personal and professional relationships. 9 years ago I could not hold down a dating relationship or job - now I work full time and have positive interpersonal interactions in all areas of my life.
