As soon as we entered the building, the two employees in the front immediately asked why we came in. We told them we were looking for some unique things. They continued to follow us around the store and watched us as we shopped. It was extremely unprofessional. They kept treating us like we were shoplifters and profiling us despite the fact that my brother's hoodie alone cost over $250. On the other side of the store, I went to check out with my items and two employees (both named June) were having an intense conversation about one of them quitting. We stood at the counter for at least 30 seconds before they even acknowledged us. When they did, they acted very irritated that we were trying to check out with our products and interrupted their conversation. One of the June's said "what do you want?" When we we told her we would like to check out, she huffed as us and said "well? What do you have?" The lack of professionalism and self awareness was astounding. Our hope was to support small businesses but after this experience, we will not be coming back or spending money with this business again. 0/10. Do yourself a favor and do the Hokey Pokey and turn yourself right around and stay far away.

I was really impressed by the quality of things she had to offer. There were some truly unique finds that were so cool that I almost wondered if I could wear a bell bottom jumper with Paisley patterns. There was also a very strange purse that was completely beaded with oddly colors and kind of creepy looking cats. I was intrigued but decided maybe the neon cats would better serve someone else. She also has some art by local artists and interesting jewelery and trinkets. A friend got me a hilarious pillow from there that was a tomatoe wearing stockings and shoes. The prices were very reasonable to me. The more expensive things were the very unique items you would have a hard time finding anywhere else. Of course it won't be as cheap as Good Will, but these clothes are legit vintage. If you like these sorts of things I highly recommend checking it out!

They have a myriad of stalls run by independent local designers full of wonderful, homey, handmade decor, clothing, knick knacks, refinished furniture and antiques. I have to literally restrain myself from going hog wild and buying everything in the entire store. On my most recent trip I scored a gorgeous kids table and 4 chairs -- repainted and the table top done as a chalkboard + 4 little chairs decoupaged with maps of Michigan. For $128. A great deal given the work that went into it. Our little citizens at the cabin LOVE it! I could spend hours poking around in here, it's well laid out, organized, the people are friendly and it's just got a great vibe. It's tucked into a strip of South Airport not deserving of The Red Dresser's charm and genuine qualities -- but make it a destination, you'll not be disappointed!
