Since the beginning with the regular classes my instructor Mr. Polanco was very good as well. I completed my program in the beginning of 2024 and I have been very blessed with opportunities. I have taken EVERYTHING I learned from school and everyday it has been very useful while in clinic. I appreciate how organized and how straight forward the enrollment and program was since the beginning. I have told family and friends that you basically only fail if you really don't care to pay attention. They give all the information necessary to have the knowledge for tests and assignments and also provide the help. I am Very grateful everyday that a 9 month course has helped me achieve a lot in such a short amount of time.

I am deeply concerned about my experience applying to the radiography program at Pima Medical…read moreInstitute in Chula Vista. I completed the admissions testing process and scored 100% on one exam and high 90s on the others. Despite these results, I was told I would be placed on a "waiting list for the waiting list," without a clear explanation of how candidates are ranked, prioritized, or selected for advancement. I was also informed that I would receive follow-up communication regarding my status. That follow-up never occurred. Months later, I had to initiate contact myself, only to be told to "check back." This raises additional concerns about what criteria or procedures are being followed for applicant communication and follow-up. Is there a formal policy outlining when and how applicants are contacted? Are all candidates receiving consistent communication, or is follow-up handled selectively? The lack of transparency in both the admissions ranking process and follow-up procedures is troubling. Applicants deserve clear, written criteria explaining how acceptance decisions are made, how waiting lists are structured, what metrics determine advancement, and what communication standards are being followed. Given the demographics of the surrounding community and student population, I would also appreciate transparency regarding diversity and admissions data. How many Hispanic applicants are accepted compared to non-Hispanic applicants within this program? What objective standards ensure equitable evaluation for all candidates? Without clear answers to these questions, it is difficult not to question whether the admissions process is being conducted with full fairness, consistency, and accountability. I hope the institution will provide greater clarity and transparency so that all applicants, regardless of background, are confident they are being treated equally and professionally.

My experience is just so great! I would like to extend my greatest to deepest gratitude to Ms. Tuba…read moreThe owner, (CEO), Director, Mentor and our number 1 supporter. Thank you to Dr. Rey or Ray our HHA Instructor for always having that backing support to us. (most especially days before the state exam). Ms. Amber for being our most understanding instructor from our CNA class. Our class needs a lot of efforts to make our own self-review. (ofcourse its a matter of doing your own part as well as a student and dont just rely on instructors). If you want to have a better communication, information and update i may suggest going straight to Ms. Tuba. Go to her office and personally look for her. She's one of the most reliable you can ever speak to. Ms. Jasmine the girl who always give everyone a big smile can give you information as well, she's so welcoming and trust me, i feel so comfortable asking her questions (more than the others) who cuts me off and out and got no response at all. Ms. Tuba is the one and very first person i always go to. And i thank her for all. So much Gratitude as i may say! My reviews are pretty much blunt but truly polite. I would like to thank Ms. Wilma, as she never gets tired of handling make up class students (who never cared to listen) But im not one of them. I am the person who listen, never really gets tired to listen. Because from listening comes with learning, and with learning comes with knowledge and with knowledge comes with power. Thank you. p.s I mentioned those that had given me the greatest impact of change. From being a banker, business owner, Guidance counselor to Instructor (from other country). now shift to Health care. If you want a special treatment and much of attention like a VIP - youre not fitted to enroll here. But if your purpose it to learn, only just to learn and have the knowledge you can fit here. Again, If you want to have all information you needed, GO STRAIGHT TO MS. TUBA. (she responds even in the middle of her tight schedules and sorry! In the middle of the night) only to just give you information and get you to the nearest possible schedule to take. Gracias! SDMC

Originally, we looked into a CNA program at a location nearby...they had too many applicants. That's when I searched around the area and found this school, and honestly, it turned out to be a blessing in disguise. The program was well structured, the instructors were incredibly knowledgeable and supportive and the learning environment was professional and encouraging. He had a thorough clinical rotation at a skilled nursing facility/rehab nearby. My son learned so much during the course and more importantly he PASSED his CNA exam on the first try (btw, he really studied hard and practiced blood pressures, checking respirations and heart rate on each of our family members.) One of the best parts is that all the credits are transferable. He's on track to apply to further his education and pursue a career in nursing. I highly recommend Healthcare Science Academy. They truly care about their students success and provide the tools needed to succeed.

He took us out to the street to see first hand the limit lines and we watched as driver after driver ran the stop sign. He had a good sense of humor and his concern that we learn was evident. What kept it from being a 4 or 5 star: The assistant (Alexis) he - yes he - asked in (a sarcastic tone) if we could read English..? (Note we had a strategic planing analyst from the County, a manager for the City of San Diego Parks and Rec and two electrical engineering students). He did not bother to ask what we did -he just did a visual/racial profiling. He asked the manager if she was going to be a problem (why -because she did not agree with his customer service statement). He ranted at the bast_ _ds in Sacto and shared his method for drinking at a bar when running into a friend. We had minors in the class. He reminded them they had TJ nearby. Not culturally sensitive nor was he appropriate in regards to the gender and age of attendees. He must work with too many of the teens where they are happy to hear dude, crap and screw sprinkled throughout the lecture. Feedback was provided to the owner - Adolfo. So hopefully Alexis will clean up his act and allow this business to get a 5 star rating. Facilities need to be spruced up but they serve their purpose.
