Today was the first day for my 14 month old and I. We had a wonderful experience. I love how they have carpet time with the parents and kids, as well as free play. The instructors our really nice and attentive. Can't wait until the next class !!

I knew we were going to be in the area so for nostalgia reasons I wanted to hit up on TGIFridays. The app is not very user friendly by the way but it does have some pretty good offers if you decide to use it. Some of the past items are no longer on the menu that I enjoyed but it gives you a chance to try something new. Like many casual....from what I saw very casual dining places are revamping to stay alive. Service was pretty good. The music was definitely coming from someone's private collection of R&B. I went with the Friday's Table-Tizer and the apps are at times the best offering at some places. I decided this will be my meal and went with the mozzarella sticks, boneless wings, and loaded potato skins for the Table-Tizer but you do have the option to swap out various items. Basically, this was bar food, but it was good and filling and not the healthiest but still good. I was happy that the food came out all hot. Usually when it is a trio option one of the items will come out like it has been sitting for a minute. I can see myself coming back to this place when in the area. Good spot for drinks and plenty of specials to satisfy most. Solid four stars this place in the casual dining category.

My experience with Crunch Fitness in Waldorf, MD has been nothing short of unacceptable, unprofessional, and deeply disrespectful. From the moment I became a member, I was repeatedly singled out and harassed by an older front desk staff member. Every time I scanned in, he would rush over and interrogate me as if I didn't belong there--questioning whether I had signed in, insisting I needed a membership (despite clearly having one), and speaking to me in a condescending, dismissive tone. His behavior felt targeted, unnecessary, and frankly hostile. Instead of creating a welcoming environment, he made entering the gym stressful and degrading. His demeanor was unpredictable and inappropriate, often escalating situations without cause. Things only worsened when it came to billing. Despite canceling personal training services over a month in advance, I was still charged twice--totaling $320. Additionally, I informed staff and management in early January 2026 that I would be undergoing a major organ transplant and would be away for several months. I was assured my account would be paused. That turned out to be false. I continued to be charged membership fees because my account was never properly frozen. It took management an entire month to correct what should have been handled immediately. When I returned post-surgery, I was still dealing with the fallout of their errors. Management acknowledged the billing mistakes and claimed refunds were processed for the $320 in training charges--but I never received that money. Despite this, I remained patient and respectful during my visits. Unfortunately, that same staff member continued his pattern of harassment. On multiple occasions, he aggressively approached me--sometimes literally rushing across the gym--to tell me I couldn't enter due to my account status, even though the situation had already been addressed. This behavior was not only unnecessary, it was humiliating--especially given that I was recovering from major surgery and physically struggling to move around. The situation escalated on March 25th. I was asked to meet him near the entrance to "unfreeze" my account, which had already been reinstated. When I calmly requested to speak with a manager to ensure any future charges would be applied toward the $320 still owed to me, he became visibly agitated. He ordered me to move and wait elsewhere, disregarding my physical limitations post-surgery. When I refused, he escalated the situation further--threatening me and even stating he would call the police. I repeatedly asked him to leave me alone, but he continued to berate me in front of others. Eventually, I spoke with three managers, all of whom seemed to acknowledge the issues and assured me everything was resolved. But the damage had already been done. No customer--especially one recovering from a serious medical procedure--should be treated this way. This experience reflects a serious lack of professionalism, accountability, and basic human decency. Between the harassment, billing incompetence, and poor handling of a medically necessary membership pause, I cannot recommend this location to anyone. Crunch Fitness in Waldorf needs to take a hard look at its staff behavior, management oversight, and customer service practices. What I experienced was not just poor service--it was outright mistreatment.

If I struggle at something athletic, I am usually the first person to determine my time would be better spent completing work tasks not done during the work day. Turning 30, I decided I needed a change and signed up for the Southern Maryland CrossFit "Fall Into Fitness" Special. The "Fall Into Fitness" Special included unlimited classes for six weeks totalling $125.00 per person. My husband agreed to do it with me as support for a new step we both knew was going to be a struggle for me. Walking into Southern Maryland CrossFit, I did not know what to think but I was immediately greeted by Coach Amy who wove humor into her customer service paperwork requirements to help ease the obvious anxiety I was feeling upon walking in. Once you leave the small office, the entire remainder of the space is dedicated to work out space and equipment. Classes are on a rolling basis so when one is ending, the next class is preparing to warm up while other members are on the perimeter doing independent lifting tasks (ie. bench press, squats, overhead press). Warm ups are similar each day allowing for members to have some similarity and focus on the other components of the work out for the day. Each day of the week is different at Southern Maryland CrossFit and each coach works to support every members at their individual level/area of need. As a noob, each coach works with me on my form and help me scale the work out to a reasonable level (even when I am feeling spunky and try to go too heavy too soon). The coaches suggest members use a notebook of some sort to track their individual working weights and PRs; but if maintaining a notebook isn't your style (or you frequently forget where you put things), Southern Maryland CrossFit posts photos of their daily board onto their Facebook page. Overall, Southern Maryland CrossFit is extremely active on their website and social media platforms posting the daily work out, daily work out results, and even weekly messages from the owners! After a few months at Southern Maryland CrossFit, I feel stronger but something more important happened: I started to feel like part of a community. Each member is friendly, social, supportive, and down to help/scale with anyone whether you're new or a seasoned CrossFit participant. Even during the Corona Virus (COVID19) Pandemic, the Southern Maryland CrossFit Coaches and members have online virtual workout plans, virtual workout challenges, video meet ups, and frequent social media engagement. If you're a CrossFit kind of person or even if you're someone like me just looking to make a change to bring some healthy-ish balance to your life, consider Southern Maryland CrossFit. You won't regret it!

The place is not welcoming, the owner doesn't answer questions/phone, the hours are terrible. For me, crossfit gyms are supposed to be community-based. This is far from it. They won't allow for drop ins, supposedly because people are not respectful, but it really to lock you into the contract. On the only class was able to go, they give you all the rules. Drop the bar and that's 8 minutes of burpees for everyone but you. So much for community, pinning people against other. Drive 10 minutes more. Go somewhere else.
