My son got to try out a class with Coach Roy (who was wonderful!) to see if it was a good fit for him, and now he takes lessons weekly with Coach Justice (equally fantastic!). The whole staff is warm and friendly, and they accommodate to each child's needs. Coach Justice provides great structure and challenge for my son, while also allowing him the agency to be creative in what he's learning and working on. My son is engaged and focused the whole hour, and is really proud to show us at home the progress he's made each week. The program is thoughtfully designed for the students so that they are learning though structured activities and play. Lola went in knowing no Chinese, so we weren't sure how she would respond to being immersed in a language she didn't understand. The teachers made the transition feel easy and effortless. They did an amazing job keeping her engaged, enriched, and excited to participate while introducing her to Chinese through play, activities, music, and everyday routines. You can really tell how much thought, time, and effort goes into their curriculum. One of my favorite things is that the first thing the children do each morning after check-in is a morning stretch and exercise together as a whole school. It's such a positive way to start the day and creates a wonderful sense of community. We especially loved all of the teachers, and Li Laoshi and Naonao Laoshi were particular favorites for Lola. They are warm, attentive, and clearly care so much about the children. We always felt that Lola was in great hands. The biggest surprise for us has been seeing Lola's interest in Chinese develop over the month. She went from knowing nothing at all to recognizing and speaking a few Chinese words on her own--and, even more importantly, she has become curious and excited about the language. She can also count to twenty. For us, that is exactly what we hoped she would gain from this experience. There was an incident happened in the class which involved 4 kids. Without any formal notice, the owner Pilar determined my son's qualifications to the class. While all other 3 kids continued attending the class. I called Pilar to find out what was going on. Surprisingly, she had no idea! Luckily, I knew all other students parents. I had to call each one of them to get a full picture of the incident. To my surprise, my son was not the one causing the problem, instead, he was the one asking other students stop fighting. I called Pilar and questioned her judgment and managing skills. Eventually, I had to communicate with the principal so my son could finish the rest of the classes! Definitely worse of the worse! I can't believe either her or the teacher who taught in the class would not know what had happened in the class!!!

So far other doctors treatment recommendations seem to be cookie cutter and difficult to connect with the office for appointments. Coworker of mine had an evaluation here and spoke highly of his assessment and treatment. I decided to give it a shot and have been very happy with the services here. It helps to know that the doctors here are actual experts in their field and teach other doctors about ADHD and how to treat it. They are authors of books and research articles which helped me feel like I would be in good hands given their reputations. They take their time and easy to communicate with, so I've been happy to be a patient here for several years. Getting the right healthcare is an investment so getting the best care from a private practice was one of the best things I did for myself and my family. And the front office manager is a real gem so communicating with the office has been a game changer compared to other places.
