The issue came from when she moved from one hospital to the next. now that she's moved to red Oak her staff which is her medical assistant Myra, as well as her admin keep saying that they need to place me as a new patient when I have been going to her for quite some time, now that I'm a 'new patient" they are telling me that I can't get to see my doctor until December 2025. That is over a year to wait to see a physician. I have asked that I get a call back from Dr. Johnson so that she can do something or try to help, but her medical assistant stated I can't speak with her because I'm not a patient . so unfortunately, she has now lost a patient because it's ridiculous to expect somebody to wait a year to see physician or your primary care provider.

I had an appt for my 86 yo father on a Friday they listed as type of appt "hospital follow up" but he followed up after with the specialist that completed that. Then the app sends me daily messages to make a WellCare follow up. I ended up having to cancel the follow up appt I had for a month to turn around and change to WellCare appt for Medicare. Thing are way more complicated. I don't ask for hospital f/u appt they typed that in there. Taking off work for nothing Friday. So impersonal and God forbid you ask to speak to a person at the location, because who answers the phone is not at the location. It's so complicated to just see the doctor

I was advised they are not taking any patient with medicare insurance. I do have a secondary insurance Untied healthcare but they still will not take me becasue I have Medicare. They were not that busy at all when we came in 4 people in the lobby when we got there. The clerks take forever to process the patient to be seen. . Not "Express" at all. The provider reviewed my MRI and immediately stated that the findings were "pre-existing" and that the injury "could not have happened from pushing a shovel," even though I had no prior back problems before my work injury. After the visit I reviewed my discharge paperwork and noticed it incorrectly stated that I do not take my medication daily, which is not what I told the provider. When I returned to request that the documentation be corrected, the provider argued with me about what I said and eventually transferred my care to another clinic. The discussion about my medical care also took place at the front desk in the lobby, which felt unprofessional. Patients should be able to trust that their medical records accurately reflect what they report and that concerns will be handled respectfully.

There is either a disconnect between billing and the medical staff, or customers are being…read moreintentionally overcharged. I have a good primary care doctor. The hospital, though, charges much more than needed. The only way to help yourself is become an amateur billing specialist and notice and dispute the terminology used. Honestly, the Methodist system is more comparable in its billing to other hospitals, and seems better connected to specialists in the area, so it is a better option. If you are ill you don't want additional stress from fearing you will be price-gouged.

They won't renew my blood pressure meds because they want me to visit Dr. Trejo. I've been on a "waiting list" for two weeks. Got tired of waiting and called again today.
