saw her card, gave her the dims of the kitchen & 2 baths, 110 'ft total, & accepted the quoted price. she asked if there were any height restrictions in out parkade, because she had a tall van. assumed she she had some hitech equipment based on the $650 quote. showed up with a bucket and brush & was in and out in in under 2 hours. i had 2 other tradesmen there at the time so i didn't pay close enough attention, and when i took a closer look, all the corners will still dirty and i have since removed close to 20 paint and or drywall mud specs dried on the floor after her so-called excellent? job. paid her $400 by interac which was still far too high given the scope and quality of the job and now she's added a $250 nsf cheque charge on top of the original invoice , and is threatening to put a lien on our unit. i can see that she's quite familiar with the court system. i wonder why. the after pix below pretty much says it all. read more

The woman running this business needs a watch, a calendar, and a planner. I phoned to have them come for an estimate and we made an appointment to meet one day at 5 PM about a week and a half down the road. It gets to be about 5:45 and I phone to see if they are showing up. After a tacit apology for "forgetting" we reschedule for for two days later, again for 5 PM, when I typically arrive home from work. She arrives at 4:40 and my mother in law happens to be at home but as I told her I would not be there until 5 PM, which is when I got home for our scheduled appointment. She leaves saying she will be back. She has not returned by about 5:50 and I have to leave shortly after 6 for another appointment. Again I have to phone and see what the deal is. She goes on to explain that she is at a restaurant and since she did my neighbours house, she doesn't need to check my house out and gives me an estimate over the phone that is fairly wide, $600 to $850, depending on what exactly I want done and what is in the house and the condition of the grout. I prefer people to give me a more accurate estimate, and this is why I wanted her to come see the project before giving me a price. Otherwise contractors will always swing towards the higher price. Nevertheless, I wanted the work done so I asked to book. She said she did not have her schedule book with her, and it would be at least a month before she could schedule me anyway, and it would have to be on a Saturday. She said she would get back to me the next day with scheduling options. I am still waiting for that return call. It is pretty obvious that they are not interested in your business, so why bother? I called a competitor and they came to the house within one day to give me an accurate estimate with flexible scheduling. read more

I have a limestone floor, I was told to use a topical sealer by other company and it looked awful for five years. I got enviro clean to come in and restore my floor, she gave me advice and information and what she was going to do. Now my floor looks wonderful and the best part is, it looks brand new! I bought a Team Buy coupon to have the grout of my kitchen tiles cleaned. It was a dismal shade of grey after 20 years of never being able to get it clean. I called Sue at Enviro Clean and booked an appt. Her answering machine message amused me so she obviously has a good sense of humour. I considered that a good sign and I was right. She called me back and we made an appt for later in the week. She and her partner arrived on time and were done in less than an hour. My very light colored grout is almost back to new which is a bit of a pleasant surprise given that it's been ugly for two decades. I asked her how much it would cost for her to apply a sealant to it, but she said that given that it had cleaned up so nicely after all of these years, she figured I'd be wasting my money to have her seal it, so I didn't. Apparently she's been in business for six years now and decided to do a Team Buy because there are still so many people (like me) who didn't have a clue that anyone even cleaned grout for a living. According to her business card, they also do concrete grinding, polishing, engraving and other things. I can't speak to those services, but I'm certainly happy with how clean my floors now look. read more
