My PCP suggested Dr. Jaime Ghitelman MD and so far so good. The first time I saw him at a clinic in Doral and now here which I was told it's just a temporary location. I had one exam which took only 3 min of waiting time and then I didn't find the right waiting area which lead to a wait of almost 1 hour to see him. The doctor is very nice as well as everyone I have interacted with. Scheduling was a bit challenging but nothing mayor. read more

My cardiologist is Dr. Jonathon Dunn. He is proactive with regards to reaching out to me to follow up. He will call me personally or have the office staff contact me. He responds immediately to messages. I appreciate how his summarizes the appointment at the end of the visit. He states what was observed/determined, what needs to be done, the goal, and when. His office staff is excellent. I communicate with Nathaly and she is super helpful and polite. This is a medical office that you can rely on. They will not let you down. read more

I assume if I were an hour late for an appointment I would be penalized. And I would expect that. However when I find myself waiting a good hour pass my appointment time it does not seem to be a problem. Note to whomever is in charge of the office. Dr. Dunn has zero consideration for his patients after gaslighting them with being at risk for death. Patients need to be heard and he's not the one to do it. I was sent to an ER for chest pain that he made to appear very urgent. South Miami Hospital could not provide one for hours - hours with no food or water alone triggers my symptoms. Dr. Dunn stated he did not care about this - that I needed to go to ER and don't worry about not eating. read more

Listen, I get it. I work in healthcare. The human body is a complicated machine, and the heart is its...well...heart. It's delicate and essential to life, and you should absolutely take your time with your patients if you're a cardiologist. Their lives literally depend on it. But you know what's really enraging? You make an appointment for 1045, and wait almost 2 hours in the waiting room. Then another 30 minutes in an exam room for the doctor to see you. Normally incredibly frustrating, but when you have signs posted all over your waiting room that say "if you've been waiting longer than 30 minutes for your appointment please ask for the supervisor", it is MADDENING. Seriously, what is the point of those signs, except to induce more anger from your patients? Patients, I might add, who are mostly there for heart problems. The last thing they need is added stress from your ridiculous wait times. I will acknowledge the fact that they were able to fit me in the very day I called, which I am incredibly grateful for...but I was just one of many patients who were waiting 1-2+ hours to be seen, so it wasn't just the person they squeezed in who was doing the waiting. The doctors are OK I guess. But the wait just makes me want to tell you, find another doctor. It's either that, or just block off the ENTIRE day if you want to see one of the ones that work at this practice. read more

Set up this appointment with Cuello 39 days ago because that was the only open time he had. Set it up for today at 2pm. Checked into a small waiting room with standing room only at 1:55. Filled out paperwork and gave license and insurance card to get a jump on things. I am writing this now at 2:51 from a makeshift waiting room in a hallway down the outside hall and still no idea when I'll be seen... big sign up front in window that says "if you are not seen in 30 minutes please ask to speak to front desk supervisor" but it doesn't feel like anyone really takes it seriously. I get it that people just accept that a doctors visit will have long waiting times but I can't wrap my head around this when I schedule an appointment more than a month out and am still waiting almost one hour after the original appointment time. It's a cardiologist office! Surprised little viejitos are not stroking out in the waiting room from exhaustion!! 3:04. Yes, 5 stars for Dr.Majano and the lovely Ms. Rachel. I believe I can say that I owe them my life. I was at high risk for stroke after having experienced a TIA and discovering a heart defect to be the reason. I was recommended to Dr.Majano by my darling Niece (who is a professional in the health field) after I was rescheduled twice by my original interventional Cardiologist, even though I expressed concern about the symptoms I was having. He was supposedly the best, but not if it's impossible to get an appointment. That place was like a Cardiology Factory, and not for me. What a very different experience at South Miami Cardiologist. Yes was seen in within a week, and I was actually listened to by Ms.Rachel who took my history. Test procedures were ordered, and easily accomplished in their office. The results proved a large hole ( PFO) between the chambers of my heart causing a left to right shunting of blood, bypassing the lungs. Dr.Majano even went up against the Insurance company that had initially refused the corrective procedure to have it authorized. He repaired the defect using a device called an Amplatzer Occluder with a minimally invasive procedure. I spent one night at the hospital and couldn't be more pleased with the results. He and Rachel both visited me at the hospital before ai was released. Do not hesitate. Dr. Julio Barcena ,is rude, unprofessional, terrible person, they putted me a holter, wich let me marks on my skin, I went after a month to complaint because the marks don't go away and ask why, he was very very nasty, rude, I was shocking, this cardiologist need a psychiatrist. I don't know what pinky dinky cardiologist your used to working with that when you work with a team of respected cardiologist especially Dr Barcena that treats my thoracic aneurysm, high blood, high heart beat, cholesterol but he is so damn good at his job that i went a few weeks ago to see my Thorasic Surgeon and he said Dr Barcena is doing such a good job I don't need to see you for another years. Dr Barcena is so observant when he talks to his patients that he catches little things here and there are out of cardiology and refers you to those specialties. He attends my whole family and I am always recommending friends to him and the feedback I get is just awesome. Dr Julio Barcena is far from anything but rude but you could of mistaken him for some of his partners that wear that crown very well. Don't spend your time or money on a lawyer but spend it on the psychiatrist you say my doctor needs. Any lawyer or judge after speaking just a minutes with him will know your the looney one. Please don't get me started on his staff because Jenny is just awesome its actually hard to find a doctor today that has bedside manners and cares about his patients. So next time before you lie and say how bad a doctor he is i can only recommend save your true colors till the end because Scot once you said I need to lawyer up right there baby it just showed your out for a quick buck trying to pull a scam on an awesome person.
