My furniture delivery is 4 weeks late, half of it was delivered two weeks ago. They have the pieces, but are unable to get the order delivered. It has been a nightmare dealing with this company, as soon as they are paid they no longer care about doing a good job- or getting the job done at all. They do not answer the phone and the automated system is not helpful. I would never recommend this company under any circumstances. This company is legit and the people who complain need to find alternative ways to search their tracking number. Originally my tracking number was wrong (from Sam's Club). MXD provides the correct number but if you click the link from Sam's Club it will be a dead link. Go to MXD's website and search from there. They delivered my chair earlier than expected and everything was perfect! I was expected to get my chair on 1/26, but it was delivered on 1/19. I would definitely use this service again. read more

Delivered 2y ago my Simmons Beautyrest mattress as ordered from US-Mattress back then. It's been a long time & I think of MXD as I ordered another mattress from them last week, but this review is about last time. The memories were of stellar last mile delivery, we ordered the white glove kind to final placement which was easy as we're a step-free 1st floor apartment with sufficient doorways for the king mattress. Ryder Last Mile delivered our Arhaus bed frame, They arrived hours earlier then scheduled with no phone call in advance. I hate to say this but I feel so stupid for tipping them and being nice enough to offer them drinks while they worked because once they left (in a hurry) we realized they drilled through our bed-frame in the wrong spots on both sides leaving massive visible holes and cracked the wood because they didn't check to see if the attached night stand was level in the first place. They also damaged some of the wood edges and managed to put dirty finger/hand prints on at-least 3 of our 4 walls in the bedroom as well as scuff up the WALLS with their shoes while working on the assembly. They also didn't clean up after themselves in the building hallway which resulted in me having to bring out my for-home-only Dyson to vacuum up the entire common area hall after they left (really gross). We paid over $200 for this "White Glove" service and it was anything but that! I am so disappointed with this experience and am now having to deal with the furniture company during the holiday season to figure our how the issues these 2 guys caused can be corrected. MXD was contracted by my retailer to do the final mile delivery of my online mattress order from US Mattress on Amazon. Provider emailed and left me a voicemail when the item arrived to my local distribution center. Surprisingly, the earliest delivery slot was a generic 2 hour window exactly one week out... MXD texted me the night before informing me that they would be doing the white glove delivery between 10:30 - 12:30 pm. As there was no sign of a delivery crew by 12:30, the operator promised me that the driver was on his way and would arrive within 30 minutes. The alternative would be to reschedule the delivery 3 days later to another generic 2 hour window... 45 minutes later, @ 1:15 pm, received an automated phone call informing me that my driver was on his way. The driver finally arrived at 1:30 pm (outside the promised 2 hour window) Net net, cannot recommend MXD as they provided their service outside the promised window. Apparently the drivers have to make 22 stops a day... read more

This last mile delivery company is the worst! I have yet to have a successful delivery from them. Items come damaged, late or missing and their trucks break down and they can't deliver on time. Customer service is terrible and they really could care less about your time or your items. I truly wish Crate and Barrel, RH and West Elm would cancel their contract with MXD Group. read more

Ryder Last Mile has been a disaster to work with. West Elm cannot get through to anyone to ship products that are ready. West Elm is considering dropping them as a carrier as the service has been so horrible. THE WORST EXPERIENCE EVER!!!!!! Unfortunately, we had to have a bed delivered by this horrible, low rate company. I kept getting automated phone calls with different delivery dates. I called the 1-800 number and waited for half an hour only to deal with the MOST apathetic dispatch ever. They re-scheduled my delivery 4x and would not honor my need for an afternoon appointment. I also heard the "truck breakdown" story but when I spoke with some supervisor, "Backri", he said they were just booked for the day. Liars! When they brought my bed, the drivers refused to take my mattress with them due to some slight staining. I argued that this was the promise when I purchased a new mattress. They then had the audacity to try to take back my new mattress and told me to take it up with the mattress sales person. I finally reached my tipping point of frustration and told them em to kick rocks...I am usually a pretty reasonable person and this is not my normal way of dealing with incompetence. Every time week have booked a delivery- they never show up but will say things like "we can't find your package" or "truck broke down" but never call to reschedule or talk. I just need to reassure everybody looking through these that there are plenty of positive experiences. I ordered a mattress with us-mattress.com and this company was in contact with me since the day after I placed the order. I immediately got worried as soon as I started reading these reviews and was not hopeful I was ever going to get my mattress based on what people were saying but I couldn't have been more wrong. My mattress was made to order so I had to wait about a week for it to be manufactured. I kept checking every day on the status and then by day 5, before the status was even updated on the site, I got a call from MXD requesting days it could be delivered. I picked the upcoming weekend from 10-12 and sure enough they were at my apt at 10 on the dot. They came in, set everything up and took away my old mattress in under 5 min. Now I'm sure because I live in New York City it was an easier route but in any case I do want to give them credit for making my experience great! That said, from what I read on here I have a few pieces of advice: -If you are expecting to have them take away your old mattress, make sure it's in rather clean condition so they won't feel like they might be contracting something by picking it up. If it's dirty, wrap it in plastic to make it easier and comfortable to handle. -If you live in an apt complex, notify your building management that they are coming so they don't get turned away -this should be more of a given but make sure you are home during the delivery. Most people will pick the soonest they could get it or on the weekend but don't think about what plans they have that day. They just think if it is scheduled from 2-4, they will be here at that time. Expect to clear your whole day in case they can't get to your address in that timeframe -lastly, everyone should realize this is a shipping company. The logistics that go into making sure everything gets delivered on time is extremely complex. There are so many factors that could cause delays which i'm sure trickles down the whole chain of deliveries. I mean how many times has amazon been later than 2 days to get you something? On top it, no one aspires to be working as a customer service rep for a shipping company so more often than not they have probably talked to 20 other disgruntled customers before you and most likely do not get paid enough to stop everything and investigate where or why your delivery hasn't arrived. Day before delivery received text with time slot (10am - noon) and confirming delivery date. We both took day off to receive delivery. Then the bulls@%t began. Got call this morning from dispatcher wanting to confirm details but said we were not scheduled for today. Then why today for the call, right? Said they'd check so call back. No calls here and now answering machine saying they're in a meeting for last 2 hours. Call to QVC referred us to Serta. Serta referring us to www.wherezmyorder.com. This must be their daily playbook. Now electronically booked for tomorrow; however, we will learn then whether the new confirmations are any more valid than the previous ones. Horrible service. They gave me a time from of delivery of 10:30a-12:30p. We have been waiting all day and it is 6pm and have yet to receive our treadmill ordered from ProForm. I called ProForm at 2:30pm and they said they contacted MXD Group and the package was out for delivery. I just called MDX Group and they said the Houston offices close at 4:30p. I asked her about my delivery and she said she didn't know because she could not call the Houston office because they are closed. They were coming from quite far and they still showed up within their time slot, I got a call 15 minutes before they arrived. They took everything upstairs, moved my giant mattresses, assembled my bed and put it all back together. When they were done, they took all the packaging with them, I signed and they were out the door in less than 30 minutes. They weren't particularly chatty; they got in, did the job and left... it was perfect. I just spent a little time relaxing, comforting my dog that doesn't like strangers in his home, and snacking. Also, I'd like to add that I had called Living Spaces (where I purchased my bed from) to check on the delivery date since I hadn't received a confirmation call yet and they told me that the delivery date I had chosen at check-out would be the delivery date that MDX would receive it, then MDX would be calling me to set up a date to deliver it once they had it in their possession. However, MDX delivered my bed on the original delivery date that I had selected. We still had to sleep with our mattress on the floor like some squatters for a week but that's not bad considering Macy's was booking delivery dates closer to 6-8 weeks. read more

This company is pure garbage. In the history of all companies that ever were, this one is by far the worst. Customer service is run by people who have little brain capacity so don't expect much if you're ever trying to get help. They're either dumb or lazy as hell, probably a little of both. Me and my wife have attempted to receive a bed we ordered from Anthropology 3 times now and here we are...no bed. The first attempt, they showed up on time and began putting our bed together and what do you know. It's the WRONG bed! How tf does that happen? Maybe anthropology sent the wrong one? Called anthro in the morning to understand that it's a little odd to have a completely wrong bed delivered (Usually it's the same bed with a wrong color or fabric). Weeks go by as we've been in contact with anthro management to help us determine what happened because they're convinced the bed is still out there...and what do you know, Ryder had found our bed in one of their warehouses, just sitting there. Hooray 2nd attempt we received a phone call from Ryder the morning of saying they won't deliver the bed because it's "damaged". Well that's certainly not their call. It's my bed, I decide whether or not the bed is damaged enough for me to return it. In other words they're holding our bed hostage. After another couple weeks of anthro management hounding Ryder, we got another delivery scheduled for our "damaged" bed. And here we are today, our 3rd delivery attempt. Woke up this morning to a voicemail from Ryder that they would not deliver the bed because it is "damaged". Yes no shit we've been through this. Deliver the damn bed...annnd they won't. So after months of trying to schedule a delivery we now have had to cancel our order. I don't know why these retailers use this shit show of a company. I swear after all of this I bet I could start my own delivery service and be highly successful if Ryder is my competition. read more

I have never left a negative review in my life but I felt the need to this time. I ordered some outdoor furniture for Pier One. I couldn't make the original delivery date (because they call the day before to tell you their time window) and they said I would get a call to reschedule. I never did. I called them. Their scheduling people are very rude and don't even try to accommodate your schedule. I rescheduled and got a call at the beginning of the time window when they said they'd be there saying they were running late by a few hours. We waited around all day and they never showed up! We canceled our Friday evening to wait for them to show up and we never even got a phone call saying they weren't coming. How frustrating! I will never be using this company again if I can help it. Terrible customer service. It's so unfortunate that big furniture companies use them for their deliveries. It also takes a really long time to get on their schedule. The Friday delivery did not occur because of a "truck breakdown" (why didn't the driver call?), and now they're telling me they can't deliver until next week. The absolute worst company I've ever dealt with. Ordered a few (quite expensive) mattresses to be delivered to a client's home. Once the order was delivered to MXD I received an email that they would call to schedule delivery. They never called so I finally attempted to call MXD. No one ever answers, it's always a hold and then after 4 minutes they no longer allow you to hold and force you to leave a message, which states they will call you back WITHIN 2 HOURS. After making several calls, days apart, and leaving messages with no return call, I finally tracked down their customer service number. The customer service rep informed me that they never call back within 2 hours and sometimes not even within many days!! She was nice enough and finally got us scheduled with an assurance that they would call the day before to schedule the time window. The day before arrives and there is no call with the time window. Finally I have to call myself again and get in touch with Customer Service again, receive a time window of 11-1 and another assurance that they will call 30 minutes prior to delivery. As I explain several times, we are going to be meeting the driver at our client's home. Delivery day arrives and we receive no 30 minute phone call. Instead we receive a call from their dispatch that the driver is there waiting. When we tell them that we received no prior 30 minute call but will send someone immediately, they said they can wait 15 minutes only and then they'll leave. We told them someone will come over to meet them right away. It takes less than 10 minutes to get there but the driver has already left rather than waiting the 15 minutes they said they would wait. Once I finally got someone on Customer Service, they state that they did place a courtesy call 2 and a half hours prior. A total lie as we never received any call nor was there any message. When I finally got in touch with their customer service, they stated that they followed their protocol (more lies) and the driver refuses to go back to meet us. In a nutshell, the WORST freight company I've ever dealt with and I deal with them daily. DO NOT USE THEM. I can't believe these large companies like Costco and Pier One deal with them. Absoute worst company. I wish I could give them zero stars! My mattress from Overstock.com arrived at the local shipping terminal on 12/13. So far everything looked great. I scheduled for a delivery of 12/23 and again, everything was fine. The morning of the delivery (during my 2 hour window) someone called to inform me that they just realized they lost my mattress. Shouldn't it have already been on a truck? Why wait so long to call and inform me? Having taken a day off of work for this delivery, I was upset. How do you lose a king mattress and box springs? No apology, only rudeness, as though I had inconvenienced them! Having already sold my mattress that morning, i was miffed because i would be sleeping on the floor. This began a week long saga of my daily calls to them with no answer or getting brushed off and told someone would call me back (no one ever has). They even dodged calls from Overstock.com. It's now 12/30 and no bed, and i cant get a refund or replacement until their dock search is complete. They have 72 business hours to do so, but only documented they started it yesterday, not the day they were supposed to deliver it. Needless to say i am cancelling my order as soon as I am able, because Overstock.com stated they would use the same shipper for the replacement. Awful, rude, and unprofessional company. Just moved cities and have had 5-6 items delivered from them via various retail outlets (west elm, Joss and Main, etc.). I haven't had a single delivery go as planned. Their policy=you'll get a call when the driver is ~30 mins away. In practice (legit every single time, even after I called ahead to double check)=they'll call you when they're at your doorstep, or if you're lucky, 5 mins prior to arrival, and then huff and puff when you explain that you can't make it home from your office in five minutes. On my last delivery the guys refused to unpack a bookcase from the packaging. Technically this was the retail outlet's policy, but you'd think they'd be willing to lend 60 seconds of help in exchange for a good tip...nope. Add to this repeated confusion over delivery windows and customer service reps who generally didn't care about my move/issues, and...When possible, I'm going to avoid buying from retailers that use MXD from now on. read more

We are hoping this comes out no stars (minus stars would be good). We bought a king size bed from J.C.Penney in Montclair, CA which included delivery by MXD. Our house is near the MXD warehouse. They would not be accommodating about delivery times, although we asked for mid to late afternoon delivery because we would be driving from Long Beach, about 60 miles. We were called late in the day before delivery and told our window was 9:30 -11:30 am, so we drove from our 2nd home in Long Beach, in rush hour traffic to get there on time. The window ended at 11:30. At 12:30 they called and said they had "mechanical problems" and would reschedule for 8 days from then, the day after Thanksgiving. We had moved furniture, took apart the frame, put together the new frame. It didn't matter--they don't deliver in our (their) area but once a week. We called Penney's and their customer service dept. called MXD. They were told that MXD had lost our bed and couldn't possibly find it for 72 hours and couldn't deliver till late next week. It didn't matter that we were having 6 stayover guests for the entire Thanksgiving weekend. Didn't matter we had no linens here for our old bed ( we had previously stripped the existing bed and taken all the linens to our Long Beach home). Didn't matter that they had inconvenienced us immensely, and that they had lied to us. We called their local customer service twice and asked for a supervisor and never got a call back. We e-mailed the headquarters in Ohio and never got an answer back. Tonight we start shopping for a bed again. TERRIBLE TERRIBLE COMPANY!!! DON'T EVER USE IF YOU HAVE A CHOICE. P.S. J.C. I bought a recliner/sectional from JCPenney Home Store and had a scheduled delivery for the day after Thanksgiving. I'm on the second floor and while there is a small walkway, it's nothing crazy. The delivery time was between 1:30-3:30. 15 minutes after the delivery window (3:45) I get an automated call saying they will arrive in 10 minutes. I took the day off from work, so I was only slightly annoyed that they were late. One guy walks up to me and I say "hello", but he doesn't greet me back. He simply says "It's not going to fit" and gave me a million reasons why it wasn't going to work and if they tried getting it in and something happened, that he wouldn't work for the company anymore. Not very professional. He says even with 3 guys it wont work, gets on two different phones and talks to two different people at the same time and I was super confused as to what was going on. They denied service and left. Rescheduled my delivery for the following Wednesday and made sure to ask for 3 people. They arrive early which is awesome, the main guy comes up to scope out the area and asked me "what was the problem with the last attempted delivery?" I told him what happened and he laughed and said "they must be new". His team very quickly brought my couch in 4 pieces! The last team wanted to do 2, one piece being around 8ft long. This team got all 4 pieces in without a problem, put it together without a problem, and were on their way in less than 40 minutes. While I am very happy with the second team and happy to have received my couch undamaged after 2 deliveries of it, I am quite annoyed and feel like the first team simply didn't want to attempt to deliver my couch because they just wanted to go home. I paid $75 for delivery and waited a few extra days in between my regularly scheduled delivery. If I had received the second team on the first attempt (didn't need a 3rd guy btw) I would have rated 5 stars. read more

On the day of delivery they called me to say the items were damaged and I could refuse delivery over the phone which I did. Fast forward to late December, I called Jcpenny about my items and they told me they had just been notified by the company that when they arrived at my home for delivery they realized the items were damaged, not true! Jcpenny reordered my items with the same company providing delivery service. Fast forward to January, I contacted them to see when my items would be delivered and they gave me the run around for a few days before finally delivering today, several hours after delivery time i was given I will not order from Jcpenny if this is the only delivery company they have for big items! read more

Ordered a mattress through overstock, and every time I tried to call this company, the automated system just hangs up on you automatically. No VM, no human, nothing. I emailed the company twice, and no reply. When I finally got an automatic phone call 7 days after my mattress arrived at the warehouse, I booked for the following monday (They give you no window until the day of supposedly), took off work, and waited for my window call. By 9 I called the company, and they said they had to cancel the delivery because I messed up when I said "Yes" to a question asking if they will be removing items from my apartment (They are taking the old mattress). They did not call me to tell me this, they did not email me, and they did not contact me to try to schedule a new day. I had to do all of this after finding out the day of, after 3 hours of attempting to call them. I will never buy furniture from overstock.com for the fact they use this comapny. read more

I ordered a NordicTrack elliptical and NordicTrack send my "put it in any room I want and install it" service to MXD. After the tracking number said that MXD received it, it was three days before they could tell me they had it; even after receiving several automated emails and calls asking me to schedule my delivery. When they did deliver the elliptical, the two delivery guys refused to bring it to the second floor because it was too heavy. I knew it was heavy; which is why I paid for that service. Instead, they left it on the first floor. When I got home from work, it took me all of 10 minutes to open the box and get the parts upstairs. If they were going to install it anyway, why not just open the box and bring the parts up? My house is a split level, so it's not like the stairs between the first and second floor are extensive. With the two guys they sent, it would have taken them all of five minutes to get the parts where they needed to install them. read more

What a disaster! Ordered a table from WestElm. Was contacted by the most incompetent, unfriendly delivery service you could imagine from MXD Group. They attempted to deliver outside the delivery window (luckily we were home), then said that they couldn't deliver the table because WestElm had not provided the correct wrenches to disassemble the table to get it through the door. They asked that we reject delivery and we would then be contacted within 48 hours for redelivery. We did so. Over a week passed and I contacted them for redelivery. We were told that they had cancelled the order, sent the table back to WestElm and that it was now "WestElm's problem". I asked them if they would ever have let me know if I hadn't called them. Completely missed delivery window and did not attempt to contact.

This is the worst logistics service of all time. Enterprise customers please stay away as they will damage your brand reputation. If you would like to protect your brand equity, stay away from this terrible logistics provider. Scheduled my first mattress pick up for a Saturday and was given a 2 hour time window. 3 hours pass and not a word. I give them a call no one picks up. It wasn't until 5 hours later they call me and told me they were going to be late. At this point I had already left the house because waiting 7 hours for an appointment is downright ridiculous. We reschedule for a different day and the exact same thing happens again. Now I'm trying to reschedule for yet another day. Outrageous!!! read more
