My experience started with my husband scheduling an hour massage for me for our anniversary. Unfortunately, the same day of my appointment we tested and the results came back positive. So the right thing in our mind is to let them know, regardless of the late notice. Understanding that this is a business I totally understand and felt like us explaining that we were sick, we were still wanting to let them know because we don't want to spread it. We were still charged the 50% for even letting them know, which I would think is an emergency. Now come to think of it, the only solution I felt like I could have happened was to just come in there sick with COVID without being transparent. It was also seeming like we HAD to reschedule or they would charge our card for the full amount. There was no consideration, customer service, or understanding at all regarding being sick. In addition, I wish there was a way if I schedule a full hour massage and I am running late (with communication) to get a massage for the remaining 45 mins isn't used? And I want to make it clear I understand being late or sick with COVID isn't anyones fault, but just wanted a little of consideration. Edit to add: Image is showing the time stamp of leaving this establishment - owner incorrectly stated I was 45 minutes late to my appointment, however to my understanding my appointment was at 11:45am so by the time I asked the front desk and get on the elevator, go in the back, get denied service, call my husband, and go out to take the picture it was 12:20pm. From my calculations that is 25 minutes, again ma'am what happened to the allotted time I was booked for... the full hour.. You just added an extra 20 minutes. So, no I don't understand... read more

Don't get me wrong, the place is beautiful and offers lots of tiny perks like snacks and a free drink with your manicure. My mom loved her facial and the staff was very friendly and inviting. However, not even 24 hours later and my manicure was RUINED. It's not like I was even doing any sort of intense activity that you would expect to have your nails chipped. The initial visit was fantastic so I made a second appointment for 3 months later. But...... The spa called me less than 18 hours in advance as a reminder. After 3 months I think at least a few days in advance might be smart, might be adequate, might be courteous! They called after 5pm the night before my 10am appointment and left a message. So, I called back immediately, they didn't answer. I called 2 more times and left a message to cancel my appointment. I called again the next morning and no answer (they never answered) the day of my appointment at 8am and left another message trying to inform them of my situation. At 1200 (my appointment was at 10am) I got a random email from them with a receipt of my appointment and a new appointment time.... Weird, right? Needless to say I never received any treatment and they didn't want to talk to me until after they charged my card for $200 while giving me some bullllll about their policy of canceling within 24hrs. They are shady; I would've gone back if they had done the right thing but they didn't. I had to dispute the charge but I won, I guess they thought the customer service sucked too! read more

My experience was amazing! Best massage if I've ever gotten from Nikki, Michelle did an amazing job on my facial, but I have to say.. I am less than impressed with my pedicure and manicure. Anyone who doesn't love the ambience and gorgeous details at this spa has no idea what a good spa is or has never been happy about anything in life! The staff was wonderful, my treatments left my skin like butter, and it's so private and quiet and just blissful. My oxygen facial was amazing and my body wrap transformed my skin to baby's bottom status! I booked a full day treatment for my birthday in a few weeks and wish I could be pampered like this daily! Any other day spa in the springs is a joke if you have ever been to a real spa and now we finally have one! The products they sell are infused with pure flower oils and essences and many are made here in Colorado. Understanding dry skin and air in Colorado is hard for anyone not living here! Phi gets it! I've gone to this spa twice while staying as a guest and I'm not impressed. The first time was technically before their "grand opening" so the few hiccups I experienced were to be expected. The visit was on a Sunday and I had booked an oxygen facial. When I arrived, they were not able to provide that service as the correct technician did not work that day. The facial I did receive was a bit lackluster. The woman knew what she was doing but the products used were mainly for relaxation and not skin care. Basically, it was a massage for my face and I had wanted a treatment type facial. The second time I tried to visit I had booked the appointment two weeks out (also on a Sunday) and I was very excited to finally get an oxygen facial (they are great, and not many people do them) We live about an hour away and I had pre-booked the service during a stay at the hotel. I arrived on Sunday for my appointment and was again told the technician that was trained in this service was not available. I was eventually told that this employee never actually works on a Sunday, so why they booked this service for me on a Sunday twice is a mystery. I had scheduled the service after we checked out of the hotel expecting to shower after my services but was so annoyed I ended up just leaving. My biggest complaint comes AFTER the botched appointment. The manager promised me a certificate to finally get in and get the treatment, and after over a month of waiting, I finally wrote her asking where it was. She did text me back apologizing for the delay with a lame excuse of losing her phone and my contact info (my contact info is all over our reservations) with a promise to send something this week. I'm not holding my breath. I'm bummed I didn't get better service there. We stay at the Mining Exchange 4-6 times a year and it would be great to have a spa to get treatments. Hopefully, they can get their act together and be a professional spa. read more

This spa is amazing, I LOVE IT! Sunnie has Magic Hands!! She is the best massage therapist in the world, literally. I've had many massages and have some injuries that she was able to work with and made me feel like a million bucks with no pain at all. I have had massages all over and never have had a massage help with pain, tension, stress and relaxation as much as the one I received from Sunnie. In fact I drove my husband from Denver the following day to also get a massage from her. He also had the same wonderful experience with her! I plan to drive from Denver to Colorado Springs on a monthly basis to see Sunnie at MX Spa. I had a medium pressure massage and it was perfect for my relaxation as well as firmly working out all my kinks. This spa had every detail perfect. The facial products were very unusual. I could actually feel my heart beating in my skin. The staff member named Sunnie was so knowledgeable! With 20 years experience she was able to find perfect products and utilize massage technics that relaxed and stimulated me so that I felt balanced and alive. I loved the amazing sauna. Wow! Came for our anniversary...couples massage was over due. They normally don't offer those on Monday, but they reached out to a masseuse who came in on their day off...THANK YOU!!! Talk about the extra mile! Had the place to ourselves which only made the experience that much more luxe. Massage was great, service was impeccable, amenities were very nice. I appreciated the separate sauna/steam room for a girls day, but for couples...no dice. However, because we had the place to ourselves...we enjoyed all amenities as a couple. The spa was beautiful. They had free mamosas, a steam room and a sauna complimentary. My masseuse was super sweet and kind as well. All that being said, I would NEVER have her massage me again. Her name was Jill and she messed up my back and neck so badly, I was sore for days after. The pressure was intense and she would ease up after I asked but I had to repeat myself several times. Then, she would pinch me by twisting her knuckles down on my back towards eachother and on my neck squeezing the cramp out of me. She clearly does not understand elbows do not belong directly on bone either. She stretched my neck which felt good but then she dug her thumbs up my neck into the lower part of my skull and it was so painful, I left with a headache. I just expected more for $120 for a 50 minute massage. Overpriced and NOT WORTH THE MONEY. Super disappointed. read more

My friend was in town visiting and we were in search of a manicure. We had plenty of time to spare and Yelp led us to MX Spa, where we cautiously wandered downstairs from the hotel lobby. We were thinking it was likely we would be turned away without an appointment - but hey - why not try? The woman at the desk greeted us with incredible warmth, immediately letting us know that they could accommodate us, but that we would have to wait an hour. Initially we were turned off by this, but she quickly offered to get us drinks, robes, and slippers so we could relax and use the spa (steam room, nice showers, sauna, and lounge) until then. While this wasn't in our original plan, we decided to go all in and really enjoy ourselves. The whole place itself is well decorated and so inviting. The warm light and no windows really takes you away and lends to the spa feel. We felt like we hit the jackpot with this place - it was completely unexpected. The manicure itself was just ok, and a little more expensive than a salon, but worth it for everything we received. I would probably plan for a pedicure my next go around, but this was such a great find! read more

While I was visiting Colorado Springs in July I booked myself a facial at the spa. They have made a very inviting spa and waiting area, it's beautiful and it smells delicious. The facial experience was luxurious but not personalized. I felt like the care was a little robotic. I had a vigorous yet mediocre scalp massage and at the end of the facial the aesthetician slapped some mineral makeup (protection from the sun) on without asking and went on her way. My issue with this is that I have an undertone that isn't served by mineral makeup. It would have nice if at any time during the facial the aesthetician had asked some questions /permission I would have appreciated it. I ended up going into the bathroom to wash my face thus washing off any of the good stuff she put on my face. The MX Spa is not cheap and I expected more. Sadly, I won't make another appointment next time I visit the Springs. read more

My massage therapist was pretty good but my fiancé's not so much. She barely talked or asked his preferences, and she seemed really new to the field.
