They're getting stuff for pennies on the dollar and it's basically all profit for Musick, not unlike for profit "thrift stores." Musick apparently doesn't do any due diligence to try to get sellers the best prices they can and apparently set no reserve prices or anything and they have no incentive to do so! If stuff doesn't sell or if it does, they still get half and they keep the rest and sell it otherwise! They do not return your stuff that doesn't sell or that they let go for pennies on the dollar. And there's not good customer communication with sellers or this wouldn't be such a big shock!!! read more

I hate to write this because they used to be really good. I am extremely disappointed with my experience here. They are incredibly inconsistent and cherry-pick what they want to take, changing their standards from one day to the next with no clear explanation and being rude at the same time. Worse than their poor communication is their total lack of accountability. They actually lost items that I entrusted to them for sale. I also saw some of my items lumped into another persons auction. Getting in touch with them does no good. Do yourself a favor and take your valuables to a reputable auction house instead. There are several in the area that do a much better job, won't cherry pick, won't loose your items, and do not charge as much. Please choose to consolidate your things elsewhere. read more

This place is all about them the people they hire are sub par at best they dont care about anything but getting a pay check. So my advice if your planning on using them is make sure your inspect everything they give the bare minimum on descriptions!!! Extremely disappointed with the lack of accountability here. I purchased a lamp in good, used condition, but upon pickup, it was handed to me in three broken pieces. Despite showing the staff the original listing photos proving it was intact, I was initially denied a refund under an 'as-is' policy--even though the damage occurred while in the auction's care. While they eventually issued a 'one-time' refund after four days, the implication that customers are responsible for items broken by the staff is unacceptable. It is sad to give this a lower score. I used to frequently buy from this auction house. I recently had an issue on my account and ask if I could speak to management about getting it resolved. The staff were very rude to me and told me there was nothing they could do about it and that I could wait for a call from a manager in the next few days. I never received a call from the manager and saw that my account was deactivated without so much as a reaching out to me at all. Do you think after spending so much money over the course of the past few years they would care, but apparently that's not the case. Save yourself the time and energy and go find a different Auction house to support. read more

Still a one star for me dawg. In the year between my review and the owners reply they've lost 3 boxes of items I dropped off. Failed to pay me for a handful of items. I'm done trying to make money with them and for them. I will say they've gotten better at adding details to listings (for now) hopefully they keep it up. Measurements and counts are helpful. Model numbers also helpful. Only had to scroll back a week to see examples of bad listings that hurt them and the consignor. Titles missing important info, rare collectibles getting lost in lots of junk, bad pictures. Great if you're a buyer and getting a steal. Terrible if you had any faith in this company selling your stuff for you. Earn that big commission. read more

Bought a car for my daughter. The advertisement stated it was tested for five miles and ran and shifted correctly. when i went to pick up the car we barely were able to make it on the street as the car was not shifting into gear. When i called staff told me there was nothing they could do that it's as is. This is false advertisement and fraud! Don't buy vehicles as they turn the check engine lights off with the computer and lie about it running. Had to have the car towed to my house because they refused to help and the mechanic told me the transmission was bad and they knew that with the cord hanging as if they reset the computer. Scam artists for sure. Just be honest. Now i'm out 2100$ and my daughter still don't have a car. I will be filing legal action to come. read more

I've been buying from both the Meridian and Nampa Musick sites for years. They are efficient and friendly. I do have one complaint though. Of all the online auction houses I use, I trust Musick the least in terms of disclosing the true condition of the items listed. I frequently get items home and find cracks, chips or other flaws that weren't in the pictures. I get items that don't work or need repair. They don't test anything like some other housed do. I know it's up to the customer to physically inspect each item before bidding, but I live 70 miles away and that is not practical. If everyone went and looked at each item they would not be able to handle the crowds. read more

Bought a car from them that supposedly ran good during their 5 mile test drive. AC was supposed to work, even asked the guy after buying if there was anything wrong and the test driver said it ran without any problems. Paid 3700 for the car which came out to be 4600 after fees which was ridiculous. First thing, AC didn't work, and not even two miles to notice at the gas station (since the car was nearly empty) that it was overheating. Took it to the mechanic to find a cracked radiator and he said the engine gasket is likely blown, the cost to replace being over 4000. I'd have to pay more than I paid for the car to get it fixed. I won an Item at the Meridian location came all the way from wa state to pick up my item, and they said it was stolen!!! they never offered to look back on the security cams to see where it grew legs. i had them go back to look around at it seemed to me my only that it was an employee that stole it, then they had the nerve to offer me a DAM credit!!! i told them no way i want it back on my card. while i was in the office some customers over heard my situation and one of them stated the he had heard of this happing there before NO WAY will i ever spend another dime at this location, if the have sense to lock up expensive items and keep sticky fingers off of them then that is on them. and to the person that took that item you know who you are you will get yours it always comes around. read more

For some reason the meridian location doesn't show up to review. The meridian location is by far the worst one in my opinion and where I've had the most shady experiences. First I wouldn't trust any five star reviews. Right when you walk in there are signs on the counter offering discounts and kickbacks for the employees that help you if you give a five star yelp or google review. It's only $20 to the employee that helped you if you mention them but it's still shady for them to do it that way. I've had items I won come up missing and they just say an ex employee probably stole it dismissively. I bought around 20 silver coins around 2020 and when I actually checked them in 2024 four of the coins weren't silver. Finally if you buy a car from them and there's no check engine light on. Then after driving it for a day the check engine light comes on. It might not be a coincidence. I bought two cars and that happened to both of them. You can buy a diagnostic tool on Amazon that will let you turn off the check engine light on a car. Another thing to watch for is a dead battery. If you want to start a car and it has a dead battery be cautious. If you drain a car battery it will cause the computer to reboot and it turns off the check engine light till you drive it for a while and the car can sense the issue again. It takes around 30 miles before the check engine light comes back on again. From what I read online and from my personal experience. I'm not saying they are turning off check engine lights to deceive customers. I did look very closely when I bought the last car and even took a screenshot to show there was no check engine light on. When the light did come on and I found the problem it was in the transmission and it would only turn on the check engine light if the car was in gear and idling. Like at a stop light. The gasket could have went bad for me on my way home who knows! Be careful when buying a car from these guys because they definitely won't admit to any wrongdoing. Oh! I almost forgot! They aren't supposed to let people cancel auctions if their stuff doesn't sell for as much as they want. They do though and the employees admitted it when I saw things I bid on still at the auction weeks later and being listed again. It's probably not common but I know it has happened. read more

Run from these Crooks. Don't waste your time bidding on their auctions. They are all scams. I recently bid on and won an auction for a classic Corvette. it was scheduled to have a soft close at 6pm. Their were several last minute bids (like always) but I was the high bidder when the auction ended. Several hours after the auction ended, I received the email below. It seems that Musick determined they didn't get enough for the Corvette, so they decided to reopen and continue the Auction. of course the auction ended at 100.00 more then my winning bid. I have an invoice for my purchase, but I guess they can sell an item as many times as they want. Is this even legal? certainly it's not ethical. Here is their scam email. Hey John, You were bidding on the Corvette when it closed early. I reopened it so it would close at the proper time as advertised. We have had software disruptions like this lately and I apologize for any frustration this may have caused you. Please log on to continue watching it. Have bought several small items and recently a vehicle. Great Customer service, fast and friendly. Products descriptions are accurate.

I bought 24 tables about 3 weeks ago. These tables had 1 picture of 2 tables that showed a little tape on the back edge but looked like they were in excellent condition. They were in terrible shape and should not have been auctioned in the 1st place. Cracks everywhere, left outside and water seeped inside. We attempted to get a refund and the manager refused. The pics in no way expressed the condition of the product and the excuse was that we should have checked them in person before bidding as if that somehow excuses false advertising. I will be putting up bad reviews wherever possible and if that doesn't get their attention maybe the Federal Trade commission will. i sell things too and if i did that i would get kicked out of selling platforms it's ridiculous. I emailed musick auction twice and called and asked for the owner, the manager told me she would get the message to him, i know that didn't happen. I doubt the owner even knows his office manager at the Meridian Office is sabotaging him and if he does that is even worse. The Man that came out and helped load was nice and the other people in the yard were friendly, the office manager also lied to me when i asked why i was paying sales tax on a title and doc fee. she said that dmv charges $78 for a title transfer fee. I know that is not true and when i looked it up and showed her they charge $15 she continued lying about it. Apparently the office manager in the Meridian office thinks people are stupid and she can lie to them and get away with it. I buy from many different auction sites and none of them have charges sales tax on title and doc fees. read more

Here are some detailed reasons not to do business with this auction. 1. They misrepresent their products. I bought a car, they stated it ran, it doesn't. 2. My mechanic told me the seller (whether this was the action or the seller) knew the headgaskets were blown due to what he found in the inspection. They didn't disclose this, so they intentionally misrepresented the car to mislead people into paying more. 3. The auction will not return multiple calls made to help you resolve the issue. 4. I have talked to 3 mechanics locally all have said they personally and many of their customers have the same experience I have had. 5. Other auction places also said they have been told many times by buyers that this group intentionally misleads buyers. 6. The DMV paperwork was some of the laziest paperwork I have ever seen, they didn't even bother to put the VIN on it. I have had good luck with other auctions, avoid doing business with this one at all costs. read more

My first experience with Musick was a bid and win on 6 high bay shop lights for $10. When I went to pick them up, an employee showed them to me in the yard and I said that I would go an get my vehicle to load them. As I was walking away, I heard a crash behind me, turned around and saw that the employee had dropped the stack of acrylic shields for the lights and broken 5 of them. Everyone makes mistakes but when the employee went and got her "boss" he stated I had two choices, return for a refund or take them as is (i.e. broke by them). His comment to me was that I wasn't out much because I had "got them cheap" as if that mattered. I emailed and called (voicemail) the owner(s) of the company and never received a call back or a reply to the email. Second experience about 5 months later, bid on and won a propane regulator in the Meridian auction. Showed up on pick-up day (50 mile one way drive for me), spent 20 minutes wandering around the warehouse with an employee looking for the regulator that they couldn't find. Finally was told that the item I bid on had been lost prior to the auction and the "owner" was supposed to bid "$5000" on it to prevent bids on a lost item. End result was a refund for the bid price. Told the front desk employee my story and asked for a call from someone regarding my past two experiences. Mo communication from anyone at Musick. Sorry Musick but that's strike two and I won't be bidding on anything again. I feel burnt twice. read more
