I am 38 and started taking lessons from Yoly in 2012. I'm not sure if I can adequately summarize…read morewhy taking lessons from Yoly is an overall uplifting experience but I will try. Yoly's teaching style or teaching method is not the typical one-size-fits-all approach. Instead, her style/method is personalized to the needs and desires of each individual student. Because she takes the time to listen and understand what it is you want to achieve with piano, she is able to tailor your lesson time so it will be of most value to you. One attribute important to me that she encompasses and reflects throughout her personalized teaching style is her patience. She instructs and guides with persistence but also with kind patience. She encourages without being pushy and she has the unique ability to motivate you just by her being present. It is obvious Yoly enjoys sharing her gift because she uses her knowledge to teach with enthusiasm and encouragement. I was lucky to also learn a bit of piano theory from Yoly, which I found to be extremely helpful by instilling a balanced understanding of the piano, piano playing and music which in turn lead to an understanding of why it is necessary to practice scales! I currently live in San Diego but if I am ever scheduled to be in the LA area, I am sure to schedule a lesson with her. Basically, the bottom line is - Yoly is an inspiration. Anyone who begins to take lessons from Yoly will quickly find out just how fortunate they have become.

Prior to starting with Radina I had never had a class before and I was nervous with no idea how to properly sing. Radina was patient, thorough, and kind. I will continue to attend classes and would recommend my friends to take courses with Radina. Cheers Christian

As a professional actress and singer I have been taking vocal lessons for years with various teachers before but Radina showed me a totally new approach to singing, that I feel very comfortable with. She gives me hands-on warm up exercises to easily and effectively help my voice to it's full potential every day - no matter if I use it for my singing or my professional speaking/voice over work. With the way she structures the sessions and the feedback she provides when we get into singing some of my most favorite (but challenging) songs, I always feel like I have accomplished something new and have grown as a singer from one session to the next. I leave her class with a positive feeling of success, which easily motivates me to continue working on the growth of my voice. Radina is the go-to vocal coach for everyone who wants to learn quickly and cares about the potential one's voice has to offer! The lessons are fun and inspiring! She always encourages you to give your best but at the same time she makes you feel very comfortable in your own skin. I love learning from her and can definitely recommend her!

My 4-year old sister goes here once a week as an introductory music class. Parents/guardians are…read morewith their kids during the class. It's a great "school." Two teachers teach each class and they both play musical instruments during sessions. We usually sing songs and do lots of fun, interactive kid activities and the teachers sneak in some basic music tidbits for the kids. One of the best parts is that they introduce new music instruments each week and they let the children play with THE REAL THING too--one by one. So far, we've seen the accordion, violin, guitar, drums, electric bass, cell, piano, maracas, and more. The teachers are outstanding (Kudos to teachers Jesse and Jeremy) and the location is great--inside the Westside Pavilion mall so we get free parking and some shopping time after the 40-minute class. There are different levels/classes for children of different ages. It's great because children are introduced to music at such an early age and when it's time for them to pick up an instrument, they won't be picking blindly because they know different instruments and would be picking the one they actually liked best based on experience. Not to mention that music makes children smarter. Enroll your kid(s)!

Our daughter is signed up for one 45 minute lesson per week, and Daly is very good at incorporating various instructional activities and techniques to keep our daughter attentive, learning, and having fun throughout the lesson. At first my daughter was reluctant to practice piano, but now she seems to have a sense of responsibility to practice and do well in her lessons because of how much she loves her lesson and her teacher. None of this would have been possible without the excellent teaching, coaching, support and encouragement from Maggie Edmondson. The opportunities that Maggie has provided my daughter, from regular performance classes, participation in master classes, and summer programs have made her the musician that she is today. I see other students who take a weekly lesson with a teacher, don't perform a whole lot, aren't really inspired to practice and subsequently don't thrive or grow in their art and eventually give up out of frustration.
