We wanted to take some lessons before our September 8th wedding to feel a bit more comfortable. Our instructor was Merissa Newton and she was AWESOME!! My husband is a burly lumberjack and wasn't exactly pumped about our new hobby, but she was so easy to work with. She made us feel totally comfortable, started with the basics and taught us as much as we were comfortable with in the time we had. She didn't push us to perform at a certain level and reminded us that this was about having fun! The three of us laughed as much as we danced! We sent Merissa our wedding song ahead of our first lesson. She picked out a style of dance that she thought would go well to the beat and that's what we learned for 5 weeks. Once we got the basic steps down, she had actually choreographed some additional moves for us and by the end, we couldn't wait for the wedding, specifically the big dip at the end! Although we forgot a few steps on the big day, it didn't matter. We were so comfortable and knew the general moves and how to recover seamlessly. As we performed our dance, the entire room started to sing along as we moved through our dance! (Also, we nailed the dip.) This was absolutely one of the most memorable parts of our wedding and I would highly recommend this to anyone considering it... no matter your skill or comfort level! Thank you Merissa and Polina! You seriously rock.

Now that she has been able to move studios I am looking forward to getting back in my dancing shoes!

Nick at Midtown was incredibly friendly and helpful - and rented us a guitar and amp at a very reasonable price. A day later, the output socket was loose, so we drove back, a little nervous about it, and Nick fixed it with a smile (and no charge). From the looks of the other people in the store and the music being made, it's clear that Midtown is for real pros. For the budding musician like my son, Midtown is a friendly place that loves and encourages music. I wish we had a place like this where we live.

I love volunteering at camp. I have been doing it for 5 years now. Accommodations are nothing like you would expect from a "camp". The following review is from this past summer following a visit there to service my Kubota in the…read moreSpring. I posted this review on Google services at that time figuring I'd wait for them to respond before putting anything up on Yelp. Well, I was disappointed again. No reaction from them. They just don't care. So, please read through this before deciding to go there and it will give you a good idea of what to expect from them: I will never use this shop again for any Kubota or Stihl purchase or service. I was so upset by these people that I had to wait a month before writing this review just to give it a fair chance after calming down. My Kubota BX22 was in need of some routine service to get ready for Spring so I figured Wescott's (especially since it's now an MB shop) would be the place. It originally came from there many years ago, and I wanted someone familiar with the old model to go through it and tune it up. As expected they found a few hydraulic leaks in the lift cylinders and the front gear case, and they took care of that quickly since they had all the parts on hand. I was pleased that they did all that with no big delay. I paid extra for them to pick up and deliver, but I figured it was worth it since they were so quick and efficient. I stopped in there a few days later to thank them for the job well done and even bought a new Stihl chain saw while there. The Farm Boss was a good find, and I expected a little break on the price since it was "Stihl Dealer Days", but the sales guy said they don't really participate since they are so hard to get right now. Oh well. No sooner did I have the saw in my hands and paid for that he brushed me off for another client who walked in. I should have known then what kind of shop it was. So a few days later I was getting some work in with the tractor on muddy ground and became totally stuck. Couldn't figure out why I couldn't get out until I noticed the front drive shaft turning, but the front wheels weren't. The shaft had backed out of the coupling. Seems the pin through the coupling that should also be through the shaft did not go through the shaft when they put it back together. Now the tines of the shaft were buggered up and I couldn't reseat it. Had to remove the shaft completely to fix, but I was pissed now. How can they put this back together like that? The service mechanic was obviously not paying attention or he would have known the shaft needed to have the hole aligned to the hole in the coupling before putting in the pin. So I brought it all back up to Wescott and spoke with the service manager, Doug. He agreed it was done wrong and then all he had to say was, "Oh well. I guess he (the mechanic) was just human." Just a simple mistake?? That's all? No, it was just lazy, inattentive work. He cleaned up the spline of the shaft for me so it would now fit back into the coupling and said that's all they can do. So, now with this, and the lack of attention from the sales guy on the Stihl saw, I have a pretty good idea of what kind of dealership this is. If you're not one of their large commercial or farm accounts you're bothering them. I cannot stress more that this lack of service and caring is cause to stay away from there at all costs. If you're a homeowner or small farmer and figure that you'd like to give your business to a smaller shop instead of one of those big building supply places, look somewhere else. They just don't have time for you. They're not worth the trouble. Yea, I gave them 2 stars. It should be 1 star, but I gave them credit for having stock on hand. Never again. I'll either go to a REAL MB Tractor or to any other local Stihl dealer for any of those needs. I'm looking to upgrade to a new B26 next year, but you can bet I won't be going anywhere near them. Funny thing is, I told them that before all this and they still didn't care.
