In their new headquarters in the Bermuda Triangle of Vienna, this important memorial and remembrance museum is more accessible than ever. The Vienna Simon Wiesenthal Center for Holocaust Studies is one of the most important centers in the world to research or reflect back on this horrible period in world history. The small museum on Simon Wiesenthal himself that is part of the center is very informative and moving. Simon Wiesenthal was a world figure who chose to live and work in Vienna since he felt comfortable here and had his roots in the old Austro-Hungarian empire.. Though there are also centers in Los Angeles and New York, Mr. Wiesenthal elected in his will for all of his personal and work-related papers to remain in Vienna despite pleas from the United States, Israel, and Britain to house them.
