A privilige to give you my review nr. 100 of a new site by presenting Museo Del Satiro in Mazara del Vallo on the south west coast of Sicily. In a former church this museum is built around a finding some twenty years ago, when a fisherman got it in his net. It goes back to around 400 B.C. It is an amazing experience to enter the hall and meet this object, fully described as a peace of art. The name of it is actually the dancing satyr and the origin is Greek. It was found outside Mazara del Vallo and it is interesting that they have succeded in their efforts to keep it in town. I remember well the first time I was to visit The Louvre and Mona Lisa and Venus de Milo. When I left the museum in Mazara del Vallo and sat down at a nearby café I was very close to the same feeling of a great experience. And it keeps on being alive. read more
