Not going to take a lot of your time, but worth the look. Small museum in an old building around a central courtyard. No one walked around with us, and it was donation only the day we went, a holiday. Besides strolling and imagining what it must have been like 300 years ago, there are many interesting things to see, from religious art and icons to utilitarian and everyday objects that you can inspect quite closely. I went to the Museo de las Missiones Jesuiticas de Loreto in Loreto, Baja California Sur Mexico on 5/17/2017. It was my 1st time there. My cruise ship, the Crystal Serenity, was in port that day. Nice museum located adjacent to the famous Mission in La Paz. Many artifacts from the mission period and pleasant grounds. I toured the museum for a small donation. Plus, I took a photo. read more

Small but informative museum alongside the mission. Includes artifacts from many different missions, along with bilingual signs explaining the history of the church presence on the peninsula. Also includes one interesting room on ranchero culture. read more
