I was around West Hartford for the weekend and I always want to try a paint class. I was interested in painting the Cosmic Treetops. Parking in West Hartford on a Saturday is always an adventure but we got lucky today and found a spot near by. Just make sure you got some coins or a visa or Mastercard to pay for the kiosk. The event is about 90 mins so expect to spend about $6 for street parking. Inside the event is pretty spacious. There is a bunch of art on the wall for sale and there is a section to order snacks and drinks. The food was a bit expensive but it tasted good. The employees at the establishment were kind and friendly. They were also experienced painters and walk around and help guide you while you paint. You are also able to create a group and sit with your friends and family. At the event, our instructor was Jen. She was great and full of energy. If you're a newbie or an experienced painter, she made it easy to follow. She ask what you like and don't like about your painting and give you suggestions on what to do next. Overall it was a great experience and will do this again. It was fun to see everyone take on the painting. Fun activity to do with your friends, partner and love ones. Plus you also get to bring nice piece of art home!

It was an amazing experience for sure! All the instructors are amazing! This is my 3rd visit this year, first was with Elites, 2nd with my daughter earlier this month and 3rd for my daughter's birthday. It truly is for all ages. I was not able to take photos of the food as the tweens had hands in it before I took a photo. There's no waiting for them. Lol. We had boneless chicken bites, mini corn dogs, brownies and some mocktails. I got those because it's easier for eat with forks while your hands have paint. There is a QR code on each easel to order on mobile or order from the bar, regardless they'll bring the food over to your table. You can open a tab too and close at the end of the session. I can't say for certain if each instructor has a different technique of teaching, although it usually is. No matter, everyone had a great time and everyone went home with a piece of art they can call their own. At the end of the session, they recommend you to leave all paint on the table to avoid any spills on anyone's clothes. Ahh, speaking of clothes. They do have a solution they mention at the beginning that can get paint off and it must be done in haste. If you are a seasoned painter, there is a possibility of paint getting on your clothes so keep those nice outfits at home. This is also mentioned upon booking. My niece sat next to me and she's not painted before. Her brush was saturated with paint and as she reached the edge, she was flicking it harshly and splatted on my blazer. It was this dot that you may never notice since it's colorful and filled with flowers. Must you wear something nice, bring a T-shirt to wear over it, then the apron they have in the studio. Will be coming back soon for a mother, daughter date again! Thank you for her celebration painting!

Atmosphere was great , large space in trendy neighborhood. Instructor was friendly but a little too fast for most of us . Good and drinks were good as well .

What a great time! We booked a holiday themed painting and Liz led our class beautifully. It was easy to follow, great music, and a huge selection of drinks and snacks! Muse is always a great time and their newest West Hartford location is stunning. Can't wait to go back!

Such an awesome experience! From location, to the AMAZINGLY talented and helpful staff (s/o to March and Chloe), to the versatile options of painting type, we can't recommend this spot enough! Pro tip-- the food is really great, too. It doesn't feel secondary to the painting experience. There's an extensive food and drink menu, so be sure to check it out!

We went there for a work team building event... and I had no expectations. If anything I was a little nervous about the painting piece. This is a neat space where your senses immediately get captured by the art and paint everywhere! Colorful and vibrant. They set up based in the size of your party. They also have a private room and you can opt to order food and drink in advance. We had drink tickets which covered beer, wine, and soft drinks. We got chips with guacamole and salsa and an assortment of popcorn. Our 'muse' or art teacher was Anna - she was great! She put us at ease, picked out a great soundtrack and got our creative juices flowing. Our group relaxed, unwound and had an altogether great time. Highly recommend this activity and venue!

Just really good, clean fun. Painting is a LOT of work! You can follow the artist guide or go rogue, either way there's no pressure. Don't try to walk in as it's always packed- book in advance and you may Select your session based on cost, piece, complexity or even book for a friends get together, party, birthday, work team outing, etc. super friendly staff whom many of which are professional artists themselves if you want any work done ask for a card! Don't forget to tip! Beer and wine and food available at the counter.

I absolutely loved my experience at Muse Paintbar! This was my first time visiting Muse, as well as trying a Paint and Sip experience. The instructor made explained each step very well and took the time to provide extra help when needed. As far as food, I tried the boneless wings which were okay. There's a full bar as well.

This was an upbeat and hip environment. Painting instruction was detailed. Food and drink served to your station, though a little pricey. No byob. Would definitely return in a group setting!

Great studio, both my 11 year old and my painting came out great! Good selection both in time slots and painting. Food was ok too.

Had a great time painting and never felt rushed which I appreciate because we aren't the most artistic people. Ashley was very clear with instructions and helped in any way she could! Very relaxed atmosphere and it was nice to be able to have the time to check out the space while we waited for the class to begin. Will definitely be going here again!

There is something truly therapeutic and all it takes is 5 dollops of paint. The premier art and wine experience...Doesn't matter if you have absolutely no artistic skills or your out to paint a masterpiece...It's a perfect venue for a fun night with the girls or even better with your better-half (these can be hung side by side to make one complete picture).... it's the most fun 3 hours you'll spend and at the end of it all you get to take home something that you can be proud off (makes a good gift as well). I painted the Elizabeth rose garden and was very happy with how it turned out... the instructions are step by step and easy to follow... the instructors are patient and give you sufficient time without feeling rushed, they even help you fix your painting if your having trouble... it a wonderful experience.. and I've done 3 so far. The first one turned out good, I spoilt the second, so the third was redemption.. lol. @Muse you can have the option to paint a rustic wooden sing or a mason jar or a canvas. Great for private parties or kids birthday parties (when I enquired for my kids birthday they said there is a minimum of 10 guests to make a reservation).

Anne leads the way, ahoy!

I have lived in Manchester for a very long time, yet this is my first time visiting The Firestone…read more I don't know what took me so long to try this place. It's a painting, an arts and craft, a bakery, and a coffee shop. Great place for friends to get together and spend quality time, with great refreshment. They make their own bread, Cheddar scallion scones, chocolate chip cookies, sandwiches, and many other items. My favorites are the different coffees and teas. The staff is very pleasant and helpful, both with the food service and the arts. What a gem to have on Main Street.

This last attempt, there was a bunch of staff around so I got the full experience. The staff were very friendly and informative. They explained the pottery painting side of things to anyone painting a piece. They had a wealth of knowledge in that regard, explaining how to get the best results for each medium. I wasn't here for the pottery, I was here for the food. So they sat at a 4 top and let me go up to the cafe to order. The menu is basic, egg sandwiches, avocado toast, French toast, coffees and lattes. Some fresh baked pastries available but mostly simple dishes. I opted for their French toast latte and an egg sandwiches with bacon. Also got a cinnamon roll that was baked that morning. Food came out after a few minutes. Not speedy but not slow. Took some pics and dug in. There's a fundamental rule that I follow when reviewing. "The flavors on the description need to match the flavors of the dish." There's sandwich did this exemplary. The garlic aoli had a strong but slightly acidic bite to it, which helped the arugula's bitterness. The egg was fluffy, the tomato grilled and salted, and the bacon perfectly crispy. The soft home made bread was almost too soft, compressing down to nothing after each bite. If anything, the bread could've been grilled to give it a bit more structure. But besides that gripe, it's one of the best breakfast sandwiches I've had. The latte, that's what took the star off. The coffee is giv beans, so a good quality product. The problem was it was extremely, overbearingly bitter. With a French toast latte, you'd expect the sweet to counteract the bitter. But nope, the sweet came from the cold foam and the concentrated coffee at the base led to straight sips of cringingly bitter coffee. After mixing the cold foam into the coffee, it became more bearable. But the damage was done by that point, and my pallet was shot. Had to dump most of the coffee. Overall, it's a neat place to go to. It's rare to have activities along with good food, and the staff there make the experience great. Not too much a fan of the specialty coffee, but the food is well worth the price. A solid food choice for Main Street.

I learned what Board & Brush is about when I visited the website to choose my activity. They seem to be really popular as there were limited seats available. Upon searching for an activity on the website, I kept in mind I would be traveling back home on the Metro North and was seeking smaller crafts. I later learned there is a class for smaller crafts it just wasn't the one we chose. There is free parking outside in front of the location. Upon entering we were greeted by the staff and checked in. The staff showed us to our work station. Each table can host 6 guests. Our supplies were already at our stations. The décor in the establishment is absolutely stunning. The wall art is a mixture between the small crafts and the larger crafts. Here's a tip I didn't think about until it was too late, you'll be dealing with paint keep in mind what you wear. If you have a favorite shirt or shoes you wouldn't want to get messed up, they may not be the best to wear here. Thankfully I didn't get any paint on me besides my hands. I cannot remember the lady who assisted us but she was an angel. She was very patient with me as I'm not the best person to do arts & crafts. The other ladies at the table were very supportive also. This location allows you to bring snacks and wine. Don't be like me and accidentally eat someone else's snacks thinking the establishment set it out for everyone. Overall, I had a great time making my project. I wouldn't mind returning to Board & Brush however I would prefer to do the smaller crafts as oppose to the larger ones. It's also difficult to locate the small crafts online. I say give it a try you may like it.
