During our 5 year duration as Milford, CT tenants (4 at Metro Star an 1 at Metro View) the Metro…read moreStar Properties team has always been professional, courteous, accommodating, and an absolute pleasure to work with. Both the Metro Star and Metro View locations have all of the luxury amenities and the buildings and Milford harbor views were gorgeous. Me and my wife would often say when we come home after work that we felt like we were "on vacation". Also, the location is top notch as far as walking proximity to local downtown Milford restaurants, stores, and the train station. From getting an apartment ready for our move-in last minute, to diligent property maintenance, and prompt responsiveness, we could not be happier with Carol, Donna, Luke, and of course Teddy. Long after the lease was signed, their "can-do" attitude and professionalism were constants - highly recommended with confidence! PS Teddy is hands down the best maintenance/repair person around...super friendly, helpful, and a great guy!

Don't live in any property they manage.

It isn't just the management that makes living here unpleasant, it's also the residents. There is…read morelitter everywhere outside, the residents don't drive the speed limit, don't stop at stop signs, leave bags of trash in the hallways (sometimes for weeks and nothing is said to them), park wherever they wish, hang laundry from the balconies, repair and wash their cars in the parking lot, use the yard areas to urinate in, don't clean up after their pets, steal packages, they run up and down stairs loudly, slam doors, talk on their phones loudly in the hallways, have dirty torn up doormats, ugly wreaths and door decorations, install ring cameras in the hallways and from their balconies to film other residents and guests, they don't clean the grills before or after they use them, they block the roadway, hoard trash in their apartments, and they hog as many parking spaces as they want. One resident in my section talks on the phone in the hallway instead of in her apartment. Another couple has ring cameras in the hallways to monitor others and another one screams at her dogs and leaves trash piled in the hallway. There are also two hoarders in this section. One hoards trash (he takes it out once a month) and the other has her apartment piled with junk. Most of the residents don't speak to each other and ignore anyone they walk past in the hallways. This is turning into low-income housing, but it's very expensive to live here. Some of the residents have broken blinds in their windows and broken porch lights. Some also pile trash on their porches and balconies and the management says nothing. The management tries to control residents in a number of ways, including forcing residents to use the ISP they require. There is also no smoking or vaping anything in the apartments, on the balconies, or in any outdoor areas on the property.

I am writing this review having just walked out of a lease signing, cash in hand. The manager,…read moreBill, is so unbelievably rude and cruel that he literally made my girlfriend cry in the parking lot. He was 20 minutes late to our lease signing and had the day wrong entirely that we were to show up. His superintenant had to let us into the office due to his tardiness. Upon entering, he didn't even greet us or apologize for his tardiness. He started huffing and puffing and throwing his keys around on his desk. We quietly read the lease and explained to him that we would like to see the apartment we were to occupy, since one of the terms of the lease legally asserted "I have seen the apartment and am satisfied with its condition." Bill tersely cut us off and said "what am I going to show you, someone else's dirt? This is how I've done it for years and you have to take my word." Take your word, Bill? You can't even show up on time when someone is prepared to PAY YOU MONEY. I am baffled by this experience. I was prepared for the general legal headache that attends moving in somewhere, but what I was not prepared for was what an absolute reprobate troll this man was. He didn't even try to be polite. Moving in somewhere is supposed to make you feel like you are creating a new home, not that this man is doing you a favor simply by taking your money.

Cathy M. After reading the prior reviews, I thought it was…read moreonly fair to write my review, since I have lived here for a little over a year and continue to do so. Prior to moving here, I had been looking long and hard for a place to live. I made several phone calls and trips to the office to talk to the building manager, Bill, who was always informative, helpful and friendly. My unit was extremely clean and in good condition. Thus far, anytime I have had a question, concern or need maintenance, I have experienced nothing but courteous, kind service. Unfortunately, many are quick to complain when things go wrong but few take the time to inform others when things go right. My friends and family are impressed with my unit and how quiet it is when they visit. In fact, I have had a few friends while visiting going to the office to obtain information and paperwork on units for themselves. There is no "perfect" place. We all have likes and dislikes and can never make everyone happy all the time. However, I hope anyone who comes to see the units will judge for themselves and be as happy as I am living here.

The maintenance group was also very helpful. The grounds always looked nice and the common areas were well kept. I loved our Acadia apartment! The layout was very spacious and more than enough room for us. The floors and appliances were all in great shape. We had a balcony overlooking the dog park, which our pup loved! My only complaint would be that I wish there was a kitchen pantry, but the number of cabinets made up for it. The location is also awesome. You are on the same road as TJ Maxx, Edge Fitness, Bank of America, multiple grocery stores, and a few great local ice cream shops and restaurants. I commuted into New Haven and it was very easy. Definitely consider The Mark if you are looking for a nice apartment complex in the area!

We were so happy to move out because the leasing office is a mess. Couldn't tell you how many times I would walk over to leasing office to ask a question and the ladies would be on lunch break for hours. They would even put up on a tour sign and then I would watch them drive away. So many things mixed up when we moved out even though we gave over a 90 day warning and had all paperwork filled out ahead of time and correctly. They sent the end of lease papers to the roommate who moved out years ago even though we switched the lease out of her name. Package room is always a mess and can barely move around in there sometimes. Feels like an elderly living community. If it weren't for the disorganized and sometimes rude leasing office staff we would have given 4/5 stars
