We went during the end of season and he warned us the flowers would not be as pretty as normal and we'd have to hunt for the good ones, but the flowers were gorgeous! We brought our dog and had an amazing time plus we had a beautiful flower bouquet to bring home. Since it was after season it was free but we did donate to keep it going next year! They do have scissors and cutters for you there as well and a station to clean your flowers up as well as some benches and hay bails for photo opportunities! Can't wait to come back next year!

This past Monday was the opening day of the Old River Farms sunflower fields. Three of us went this…read moremorning. It wasn't crowded, maybe a dozen cars parked near the field. It's a small field (compared to the ones I've been to in Maryland) but just as pretty. We went around and took lots of photos. I also brought my mini drone and did a couple of videos and photos (with permission by the owner, Dean). There's a large barn where you can bring a picnic lunch, bathroom facilities, and plants for purchase. The employees that we met were very friendly and helpful. They had cutters for those that didn't bring their own. They sell the flowers for $1 a piece. The proceeds will go to help a Ukranian family. I will visit again soon.

Today I decided to stop in after my silver sneaker's class and found it almost right across the street from Coastal Fitness where the class is held, so it's very convenient. Bought 2 containers of strawberries and each container weighed just a little over a pound and was priced at $3. When I got home, we decided to have some for lunch. Some of the strawberries were huge and there is no need to use sugar, they were so sweet, delicious. I definitely recommend Carol Sue Farms to as a place to get your strawberries, I know for sure that I'll be stopping by after classes to get more.

Also check out the hertiage pumpkins and gourds. They were so unique and perfect for decorating your porch. If you have kiddos, the pillow jump is fun, the shade kind of sits low (hits your head if you're tall) but at least there's shade. Watch out for the ants, they're in the sand box and by the fence if you want to look at the goats. Definitely get a mining bag. They have a fun water tower to sift your dirt and find some fun gems. I'd skip the ice cream shop but take a look at the flowers and the pumpkins. Bought both of those and they didn't break the bank. The corn maze should be open by now so that's probably fun. The place wasn't too busy and luckily not too hot. They have two restrooms available and plenty of parking.

There were two goats, plants for sale, and veggies/fruit for sale as well as homemade ice cream. They do strawberry picking in the summer and pumpkin picking in the fall.
