I hired Suzanne Schwab-Radcliffe, a former judge, to represent me in a divorce matter and…read moreunfortunately had a very negative experience. In my opinion, she showed a lack took on a case above her competency, which left my case in poor standing. Despite paying her significant fees, about $13,000. I felt very little meaningful work was done on my behalf. When I eventually hired new counsel, they documented in writing the serious issues with how my case had been handled. For example, my new attorney wrote that, "The case was left unprepared and lacking critical groundwork," and that "several important matters were neglected, requiring extensive correction." This professional assessment confirmed my concerns and showed how inadequate her representation was. Please note, she kept a "thumb drive" with evidence to support my case set for trail which is my legal property and got away with it. I also filed a grievance with the State Bar of Texas, but unfortunately, it did not resolve in my favor. Even so, I believe it is important to share my experience so that others are aware before making a decision to water their time and money with Suzanne. It's worth noting that she is a former judge, and I encourage anyone considering her services to look into why she is no longer serving in that role. To me, this raises questions about her professionalism and consistency. From my personal experience, she seems to move from one role to another without much passion or dedication to her clients other than monetizing. Based on my experience, and supported by written evaluations from new counsel, I would strongly caution anyone considering hiring her.

We decided to use her again when my husband's ex started violating the custody order as well as not paying child support. We paid over 5k for both retainers and when we show up to the child support case the lawyer had NO evidence ready to present (even though we GAVE her plenty), did not ask for bond or probation on the ex (even though she agreed to that MINUTES before we went up there), she was stuttering to the judge and the other lawyer, and to top it off she got our case thrown out because she brought a copy of OUR contract with writing she took for a different case with the opposing lawyer argued it was tampered and the judge agreed. We then couldn't even present on the second case of her violating the custody order because the lawyer did NOT do all the paper work! To which she replied "we were hoping the lawyer and judge wouldn't notice" RIDICULOUS! After this we no longer felt comfortable with her being our lawyer. So, we asked for a refund on the second part we had yet to go to court for. She refused, made snarky comment about how we're "lucky you even got custody", and then proceeded to try to charge us over $2,000 on the child support case after we lost because of her mishandling it AND when we booked it we paid a flat fee. There were supposed to be no more charges. I even have emails of her saying it was just a flat fee of $2,300. She also refused to refund the second part we haven't even presented on for $2,850 retainer! She lies and does not take responsibility for her actions. She is unethical and unprofessional. Take you money else where and with someone that will actually help you not screw you and take your money.
