Wow I haven't realized it's been that long LOL. I think I maybe had to yelp friends at the time? Lot of times rolling up out of Charlotte I'd like to take 321 out of Gastonia up towards hickory and jump on I-40 and go over Black mountain into the Asheville area. The old Exxon Mart is still there they still have truck parking the cafe still has good home cooking however the last few months staffing is really taking a major hit. So basically as of around Halloween of 2022 they now close on Saturday nights not just the restaurant but the whole facility and they stay closed all day Sunday now. There's not really any time frame as if they're going to be back again they are 24/7 though during the week until Saturday night at 10:00 p.m.. For the restaurant is there there's a third shift and you can get good home cooking and grub along with everything else they still don't have showers; but that is the one big change is currently they do shut down at 10:00 at night and the whole facility does not open up until Monday

I pumped my gas, then headed over to get a car wash. The young guy explained the various full service options and helped me to select the best one. He even explained the point system to receive free washes with their loyalty program. In the past I've had anxiety about going through the car wash because my wiper blades almost got ripped off. The owner Steve walked up and said on the Lexus you just hold up the gear and it keeps the mist wiper sensor off. He was very confident and convincing. Now I was comfortable proceeding through. I could tell this was some high-tech cleaning machines like no other I had been to. Once the wash was over I proceeded to the full service drying station. The guys vacuumed and cleaned my car like a professional detailing company! I was beyond pleased. I've never received this service at any other car wash! They even asked me to look it over and if anything needed more attention. Wow! All that for only $26! I waited in their comfortable waiting area. Which had tvs and lounge chairs. Not your typical waiting area. I decided to go inside the market and check it out. This was not your average gas station. When I tell you this was the cleanest store I've ever seen. They sold everything from clothing to wine! I took advantage and did a little shopping while there and purchased some soft served ice yogurt with toppings. Y'all it was too good and inexpensive. This was hands down my best experience and I'll be coming back twice a month. Check back for more reviews on this business. You will definitely not be disappointed.

While the store itself is rather clean, I think the problem lies with management and the lack of competency to hire people who know what they are doing and the lack of work ethic to show those people how to do the job and instead opting for sitting them down in front of a computer screen and having them watch "modules" that do a poor job at telling them how to do the job, (I know this because I used to work there for three months). I saw an employee try to show a customer who lacked the brain cells to pay for his stuff, how to work the card machine and the store manager Ben was yelling at her when she was just trying to do her job and it was holding up the line. Keep in mind the store manager didn't even take the time to help his people out even after passing by like four times while this is happening. I've also heard and experienced for myself that the management there doesn't care for people with mental disabilities who want to work there and even go as far as to try to set those mentally disabled people up to get fired by putting them in scenarios that trigger them. Sometimes they even straight up fire those disabled people for no reason and make up excuses so they don't have to give them special treatment, (I have autism and DID and they did this to me and even called me retarded straight to my face saying "We don't need retards causing trouble at our store." which I was extremely confused by and upset by at the same time). Don't shop here, the people here are either stuck up or lack the brain cells to help you or even a mixture of both. (When I say lack the brain cells I mean they are Neurotypical and stupid)

Hayleigh, Eric, and Jamie are courteous, professional, friendly, and communicative. The other staff there are also great (I just don't know them as well yet). Everyone there seems happy to be there and enjoy their work. I didn't exactly know what the problem was and Goodyear figured out the problem. Thankfully, it was a few loose and missing screws! They could have said it was something more serious and more expensive) but they did not. They were honest, professional, knowledgeable and trustworthy. I cannot say enough good things about Melissa the store manager, Shane the assistant manager and Tim the service manager.
