He took over this place back in 2001 I believe and turned it into what is now a convenience store slash small grocery store. You can pretty much find anything here and the beer selection is awesome. He carry's pretty much anything that is needed in the household and saves you the convenience of going to the grocery store. It sits right next to the local gym which in turn has turned this into a very prosperous area. Once you walk in you are greeted by a big tube of ice with beers galore making them one of the coldest beers in town.

On the areas that could be improved are the following: self checking is nice for a few items but there are times one requires a checker. I have been in the store where there was only one checker and the line was long. Not all, but most employees need training in greeting customers, smiling, and just being more customer friendly. Personally I had been shopping more at our local HEB in Alice, TX. Reason: Mainly friendly, happy staff. I have recently returned to WalMart due to HEB's "relayout of merchandise, I don't know how many times". WalMart needs to seize the moment!

This place is meant to be truckers meeting place that come with mostly one or two buck of price range of tacos, I usually grab two of them with 2 for 1 dollar sodas. It's also comes bang for bucks. At the lunch, you can have hearty burger meals, chicken wings, cheese sticks(my favorite), sometime fried shrimp with french fries with sodas for about 4 bucks, which is pretty hard to beat from other places I know around there. I am in Los Angles now, but once I wake up too early, the rememberance of this place, wake up my belly gets growling easily .
