Then over the years that Mobil had less business and went out of business. So nothing was on this corner for all this time. I was shocked to see one week about a month ago that a gas station was popping back up in this spot. It looked quite substantial and actually they did a lot of work in such a short period of time. I was thinking it was either a race track or a quick trip. I am delighted that this project didn't take long and that something is here. My parents if they were here would be so happy to see this. It has quite a few gas station pumps and there's lots of space. The lights are bright outside. It's very convenient when you're coming off of the highway onto Park Springs. They have all sorts of things inside. Lots of food options... Drinks... Coffee... Just so much to offer I even a breakfast sandwich for my son the other day along with some items for his lunch because I didn't have time to stop at a grocery store. I prefer Murphy Express because if you add your phone number for their rewards program you collect points that can be used for gas discounts and items for purchase in the convenience store. I specifically use if for the gas discounts. And a plus with Murphy Express is that the points do not expire. I like that you can save for as long as you want without worrying about an expiration date. When gas prices go crazy I take advantage of it. Another reason that I prefer this one is because it is a walk inside actual convenience store not one of those walk ups that Murphy has all over the place.

About a week ago, I called and spoke with a woman who quoted me $140 for front brake replacement, or $65 labor if I brought my own brake pads. I arrived today with the amount I had been quoted and expected my vehicle to at least be inspected before discussing any additional repairs. Instead, before anyone even looked at my car, an employee came to my window and immediately told me it would be $340. I explained that I was concerned because that was much higher than the quote I had received and asked if someone could inspect the vehicle first since I mentioned I might also need rotors. Rather than listening or explaining the difference, he became dismissive, said "Bye, friend," and walked away. I waited another 10 minutes before going inside to ask if someone could simply look at my vehicle. I was told, "I'm busy," while I watched other customers be helped. After waiting even longer, I asked to speak with the manager, who I later learned was the owner. Instead of hearing my concerns, he immediately defended his employee, told me I had already upset him, and refused me service without even asking what had happened. I wasn't upset about paying for necessary repairs--I simply wanted my vehicle inspected first and an explanation for why the quoted price had changed so drastically. The lack of communication, professionalism, and respect was extremely disappointing, especially after being a loyal customer for years. Unfortunately, after today's experience, I won't be returning.
