Sabrina was excellent with communications, always replying in a timely fashion. She helped us…read morenavigate through the New York State real estate system and was very knowledgeable about county requirements and procedures. She went out of her way to show us houses, often at great distances, and always looked upon it as adventure. She was excellent with negotiations and staying on top of the closing timeline on our behalf. She was full of interesting knowledge about the historic architecture of the homes we looked at, and very knowledgeable about the area. Just a joy to work with.

I contacted Kathy Walton of RealtyUSA who was the manager of the Skaneateles and Auburn offices. I…read morethought she would bring in both Skaneateles and Auburn buyers. Things were going along fairly well until we got an offer on our Auburn house. She emailed me the contract for my review, as I was in Florida at that time. I was working with a wonderful realtor in Florida as I was looking for a house down here. I asked her what questions I might ask Kathy Walton of RealtyUSA since I did not know what to ask her regarding the purchase offer. My FL realtor gave me some suggestions of what to ask. When Kathy found out about this advice, she tried to get my Florida realtor in trouble by calling her boss. How unprofessional can you get. Then to add insult to injury, I had some questions about the appraisal on the Auburn house and she took it upon herself to call call the buyer/buyer's realtor and discussed our conversation without my consent. She almost cost us a sale when she told the realtor/buyer that I though that they could not get a mortgage on the house because they could not afford it. That could not be further from the truth. The buyer almost backed out at that point. What a mess she created. And she is the manager!!!! Her communication was very lacking. We almost never heard from her unless she needed something from us. Towards the end there was a problem with the buyer's agent not being able to open the back door because of the lock. I did not hear about this problem from Kathy (my realtor), but heard from the buyer's agent. They buyer wanted me to pay $200 for a lock that wasn't broken. She should have been on top of this better than she was. I am so sorry I ever got involved with RealtyUSA.

Okay my first impression of this place was that it is perfect. For what I was looking for in a…read moreplace to stay, Skaneateles Suites worked very well. The job that my wife and I have requires us to work some rather odd hours so when we do stay somewhere being able to sleep at some rather odd hours is always a bonus. And by saying being able to sleep what I mean is people checking out at 10:00 a.m. with their kids running up and down the halls making noise and the hotel staff cleaning the rooms sometimes having loud conversations. All of this is perfectly fine usually because typically nobody is trying to sleep at 10:00 in the morning except for me. This place worked out well because they have individual bungalows. There is no hallway to run up and down and make noise and make noise, there are neighbors but there's a space in between each bungalow so you're not going to hear them. We didn't actually check in for my Friday night stay until about 8:00 a.m. Saturday morning. It was nice and quiet and we were able to get to sleep rather quickly. The room itself was super clean, The kitchen did not have a stove or a hot plate however we weren't really in need of one. They did have some snacks available as complimentary in the room. Nothing huge I mean a couple granola bars and some oatmeal and a couple little bags of chips however compared to other places I've stayed that offer nothing except a vending machine down the noisy hallway... Yeah this was much better :-) If you're looking to do something in the Skaneateles area , this place is literally 2 minutes down the road from the center of town. They of course offer a late check in arrangement that I was very happy to take advantage of. They leave your room key in a secure area with a note that has any information you may need and an emergency phone number if you need to wake them up for anything. So I by all means recommend staying here If you're in the area.

They permit guests to have dogs and our house showed no evidence of pets. I would not recommend the ground floor master suite to an elderly couple only because the ceiling height is dangerously low above the commode and both my husand and I almost knocked ourselves out more then once when decending and ascending. Our niece and nephew had a rough night due to street (truck) noise, our other upstairs guests heard the street noise as well but were less bothered. My husband and I had no issues sleeping. We will be back.
