This cozy little jewelry store truly deserves praise for its uniqueness…read more Now, I love jewelry. And most of my collection is sterling silver so, naturally, I would gravitate toward a store where the collection is primarily in silver (though they work in gold and other metals as well). But, while most such stores have a rather boring collection that I see again and again, I am always impressed by the wonders I encounter here. While Hi Ho Silver caries lovely classic silver rings with semi-precious stones and handsome chains, there are also some pieces that really need to be seen to be believed. There was an entire collection of two and three tone pendants (silver, brass and copper) that were translations of classic works of art! There was a pendant that was based on Klimt's "The Kiss", another based on Goya's "The Witches' Sabbath" and yet another based on Vermeer's "Girl with a Pearl Earring." And that was just three! There were quite a few more. One of the jewelers seemed very pleased with my and my friend's art historical knowledge and she chatted quite a bit about jewelry, art, mythology and folklore with us. As an anthropologist, I was really excited that one of her pieces was based on the Venus of Willendorf. My one reservation was that I have so much jewelry that I didn't find a piece that wouldn't simply live in my jewelry box. Though, to be fair, I wouldn't mind just taking one of these pieces out of a box and admiring it from time to time. My highest recommendations for a visit. Just keep in mind that they are closed on Mondays.

The initial person that greeted me was kind and charismatic, but once handed off to the guy that would actually help me, he examined my ring, called it a knock off, and when corrected that my husband designed the ring, he rolled his eyes and gave me a ya ok. Once rung up for getting my ring fixed I didn't feel like I had much choice. My rings were already taken and bagged up to be shipped off to wherever they outsource to. I was $165 deep. I wasn't shocked by that price, but once they gave me the itemized receipt I was. The diamond itself was $15!!! How the hell do you get to $165 from there? Swindling and being robbed in front of your face. I hate this place. I wouldn't have even gone in the first place, but there are so few trustworthy jewelers in the area. I will be looking elsewhere next time I have jewelry needs. Whatever you do, don't go there expecting to be treated with respect unless you come draped in diamonds and looking like you have a bag of cash.

It was time to find a solution so I came to this jeweler to see what my options were. He said that he could put a rhodium coating, which would help create a barrier. The coating generally lasts anywhere between six months to one and a half years depending on how frequently you wash your hands and one's profession. My husband went to pick it up for me and commented how sparkly it was after being professionally cleaned. I've had the ring on for two days so far and have not experienced any skin allergies. (Knocking on wood) Patrick, the owner, is friendly and knowledgeable. He delivered the ring back within the timeframe he estimated. Highly recommend this jeweler for repairs. Potential life long customer lost to the competetion. Terrible…read more Although my first encounter was absolutely amazing my return was an utter disappointment. I now regret ever doing business with this company at all. Don't fall victiim to the shady low rate used car salesman tactics utilized by greedy businesses. Tariffs?! It's as if every other small business attempts to use any excuse to price gouge; there are other ways to keep the lights on guys. My 2nd encounter was remenecent of the good old '"due to covid" line so foundly used by salesmen as a means to swindle hard working people out of their money. Outright insulting to anyone with half a brain. After learning that trades were offered I brought in mutiple 18k gold necklaces to apply towards a possible purchase, yet another big ticket item only to find that low scrap prices were offered. To make matters worse their asking price was insane and absolutely outrageous. $180 per gram for 14kt gold- how criminal! A price point of $100 per gram over spot. A 200% plus market up. Needless to say this particar business has lost a potential life long customer, one whom that enjoys shiny and quality things. One whom doesn't shy away from a fair deal even if it's costly. In a time where many people are struggling sales on luxury items are few and far between despite what they'd lead the consumer to believe. After battling traffic for a quick hour car ride I found the same bracelet online for a fraction of the price they quoted. The same bracelet for litterally 60% cheaper. It is becoming quickly apparent why so many brick and mortar shops are folding. Lesson learned several jewlery stores in this mall have simply lost their ever loving minds.
