We spent a little over a week in Italy and on our last day, I decided I wanted to shop for a souvenir we could display in our home. I found Murano Sirius Glass online and thought it might be a good spot to pick up a nice vase or other frivolous, beautiful decorative item.
The shop was cute, if a bit more kitschy than I hoped. It was small and well stocked with tchotchkes and homewares, all of them made with Murano glass. There were some lovely cups, but it felt weird to get just one of them, so I ended up buying a Christmas ornament, my go-to travel souvenir. The store had several options, and I picked one in the shape of a pretty red stocking.
I paid and left, then went back a half hour later, to buy more for family and friends. I ended up getting six of the same ornament, though each one was slightly different, and the lady at the register threw the sixth in for free.
