No doubt the honour of piadini champions goes to Rimini: a fact I was not aware of upon my arrival…read more However 20 minutes off the train was sufficient time to dip my toes in the Adriatic Sea and shuffle along to the gorgeous La Casina del Bosco which led to this very discovery. I made the right choice of venue. What an absolutely gorgeous outdoor cafe with charming, efficient and totally on the ball staff and the fastest service I've had since arriving in Italy. I even had a few language lessons with the waitstaff who humoured me as I practiced my very beginner Italian on them. The first thing that caught my eye and consequently ordered was piadina alla porchetta. A spectacular choice. The piadina itself was light, slightly toasty, with a nice hint of olive oil but the main attraction was the pig. Delicious, sumptuous, well seasoned porchetta made this dish a massive hit for me. And for just €5 I was suitably impressed. I happily spent a solitary hour here soaking up the atmosphere, sipping on coffee and reflecting on my delicious meal. Thumbs up from me. Next time I'll be trying their gelato desserts too. They looked delicious!

After walking up and down the town, we saw this place and I walked in asking for a table as I was bordering hangry moods. They put is in a corner booth that overlooked the hills. Parties of 2 can sit on the terrace with a view. There were 4 of us and 1 baby so we needed as much space as possible. As I was on my ragu game, I got their ragu and some caffeine concoction. My sister got the chicken. Let me tell you something, I was hangry no more. My ragu was amazing. The pasta was perfectly cooked. Not al dente like Rome. The chicken was amazing. The tiramisu was the best I've had and the drinks were got was bang on. We ended up having the best espresso martini we've ever sipped. Wow The service was spot on. Everyone was so nice. The guy who waited on us was super nice.
