Been a patient for several years and truly fed up with this office…read more Whether you are in the office or trying to get a hold of the staff calling on the phone, the entire staff is always rude, condescending and impatient. They lack overall manners and as healthcare employees, they lack bedside manner, period. When you address them to speak louder (I am legally deaf since by birth), they still refuse to talk louder and it is frustrating to communicate with them in person. When trying to reach their office, they are rarely ever available to speak with. You have to leave several voice messages and it can take days before you hear from them (Jason- office manager, nurse assistant Jamie and many others). In describing their bedside manner as healthcare employees, they have none, whatsoever. If by chance, you do happen to get ahold of them on the phone (after several times trying to call them in a single day), when describing prescription problems or general health problems, they continually interrupt you without letting you finish what you need to say. From that point, they treat you very condescending and as if you are stupid, all because they refuse to let you say everything that is needed. If they just let you finish talking, then they can understand FULLY of the problem existing. When the staff leaves voice messages on the phone, they lack proper phone etiquette, as well. Impatiently leaving their message so fast that you can not understand what they are saying, slamming down the phone loudly, never say goodbye, never leaving their names nor numbers/extension numbers so you can call them back to talk to them directly, (you have no idea who called you in the first place) and more. They need to greatly improve their bedside manner and their phone etiquette, work on their patience, speak up and stop whispering, speak intelligently without garbling and above all, let the patient finish talking and explaining. Seek elsewhere for digestive health care. Seriously disturbing.

Then she refused to fill my medication again, even though in her own very words, this was the only medication that was left on the market, with the exception of Famotidine. She only works two days out the week Monday and Wednesday and I called leaving several message, begging and pleading for someone to call me back. Never received a return phone call for months. A horrific horrible experience. She did absolutely nothing to help me. If I could give her zero stars, I would. She should be ashamed.

Dr. Mehta in 2015 attributed a long-standing problem to an eating disorder dating back to high school. I was 56 with very severe constipation that had been going on for years. I happened to see my chart with his note referring to my problem as psychological. I recently went to ER for a bowel obstruction. Multiple tests were performed indicating a nonfunctional colon due to its size and tortuousness. Not because of laxative use, an eating disorder, nor psychological issues. Simply because I was born with it. Had Dr. Mehta been more dedicated to solving my problem and less inclined to label "an hysterical woman," perhaps I would have enjoyed more quality of life these past several years... glad I have finally been seen by a doctor who is interested in helping me.

(I once had a docs office tell me they could get me in within the week and I looked him up and he had terrible reviews- no thank you) I really am glad I went to see her.
