It is not for people who don't understand how the design process works. And it is not for people who think they are going to get bargains. You get what you pay for. The quality of flooring selected, and the installation was very good (5 stars). I deducted one star from the overall rating (4 stars) because of a $300 additional charge at end of project due to Ward indicating that the installer sub-contractors had to use more leveling product and floor grinding than was anticipated. Not sure if there is an industry standard in giving an estimate on floor prep when one cannot see the bare floor and Ward's original estimate was unclear on the possibility of additional charges. Unlucky us, we were living in a home with unlevel concrete floors that needed more than normal leveling to ensure a quality LVP install. No doubt, a level surface is critical to a quality LVP install given the thinness of LVP boards and undersurface padding. My advice to a homeowner on a limited budget and/or wanting to avoid unexpected end of project additional costs is to hire a handyman labor person to remove carpet, pad, tack strip and prep floor ready for flooring contractor estimate to determine upfront what leveling and/or grinding is needed for proper install (no surprises at end). The homeowner if handy and willing, could even due this simple labor themselves and save even more money on the project. Using lower cost simple labor or free if doing it yourself vs. skilled higher paid installer labor to get a bare floor, would save money in overall project costs - especially on a large sq. foot project. Bottom line: would I hire Apex Flooring again - YES. However, I would make sure with getting estimates from any flooring company the first estimate was the final cost.

General manager Rick, shockingly operates from a place of reactiveness vs proactiveness, not addressing, much less actually finding solutions to the mutiple problems, resulting in months of delays, compounding the probles and customer unhappiness. Salesperson Beth, took zero responsibilitiy after the sale, and completely stoppped communicating. Can't say enough bad things about my business experience with this company and their employees. Overpriced, over-promised and WAY underdelivered. BUYER BEWARE: When the manager, Rick, finally did discount my final payment, at the very end nonetheless, he appeared to offer a quid pro quo discount, in the same email, asking me to take down my negative reviews. Most shockingly, immediately stating 'why would I take an honest and truthful review', I received a threatening, seemingly retaliatory email, a violation of the consumer protection act and Florida law. If this is a regular practice, coercion, intimidation and retaliatory business practices, it explains why you don't see negative reviews for their company.

Beto came and measured and it took about 60 days for him to cut and pleat the drapes. End result was horrible. - He cut the fabric all wrong. - Came with the wrong hardware to hang the drapes and then blamed our supply chain crisis for his mistake. - He took the drapes back and said he fix would but never did. - The owner Beto does not speak English and he is difficult to deal with and has a terrible attitude. - Would not give us our drapes back until we coughed up more money. Just a terrible and frustrating experience, stay away!
