Horrible experience and cost!! First off idk who the guy is in the front is but he has short blonde hair and blue eyes and has a horrible reputation for being a complete asshole and let me tell you he didn't disappoint. I had gone pre-covid 6-7 months ago to get a straight pipe done on my car I got charged a whopping $165 which I had np paying at all. All though I honestly believe it was steep I still paid. Now I was short on cash at the time and didn't have the tip put on and boy am I glad I didn't with the amount of money they were trying to charge me. So I recently came back during covid when I had some extra cash to have the rest finished which let's be honest was a simple 25-30 min job no more. Weld the tip on the back bend maybe an inch or 2 and BOOM! Done well no. I was wrong.. This is the break down of how much they charge here. For the tip $85 + $5 tax = $90 For the inch or 2 of piping $20 And it gets better ready? .. Labor $150 so in total they wanted $265 F"ing dollars!!! If that's not price gouging idk what is. So here's my problem with this I had the entire straight pipe done for under 200? So tell me why in the hell would I pay 265 freaking dollars on just a tip being put on?! Also.. No negotiation at all!! So from that being said it's not the techs fault but the owners for paying commission that is literally the only way this would make sense for the price gouging. I asked them to change the oil, check my transmission fluid and listen to a sound my car makes when shifting into its last 2 gears. They changed the oil. They said I had to take it to the dealership to check the transmission fluid because you couldn't access it from the top. The tech said he couldn't hear the sound that my car makes when shifting.... My check engine light was on and nobody said anything about it. Usually techs will plug a OBD in and tell you what tripped your check engine light. Lastly, the sign out front says $19.99. I was charged $24.xx. I haven't checked the quality of the oil change but I trust they did a good job. I only went to this place because it was close to my work and I could drop it off when I go to work. P.S. after a ridiculous response to my review I want to add some of the smaller things. They left my car unlocked in their parking lot. They also had NOBODY working the front lobby and I waited forever. I had to go around back and ask for someone. The owner says I complain and I didn't spend enough money for good service. He also stated that he doesn't make any money on oil changes. Therefor I must not be a valued customer. While he says I didn't spend enough money his incompetent crew can't hear the transmission vibrating when the car changes gears. The owner says you need "a special tool" to check my transmission fluid. He is lazy and uneducated. All you need is a star key tool. Thanks for nothing and the rude response. Front desk attendant, Nick, is totally indifferent to his customer's concerns. I recently gave them $1068 to remove and replace my car's air conditioning compressor. Being a retired Journeyman Diesel Truck Mechanic, I have some knowledge when it comes to the basics such as knowing that when they changed my a/c compressor they would need to take the Serpentine belt off the compressor's pulley. A competent mechanic would inspect the belt before reinstalling to on the new compressors pulley. When I came to pick up the car I asked Nick if they replaced the belt and he said "no, if my mechanics thought you needed a new one, they would have changed it". I drove off under the impression that the belt was still good. 18 days and 51 miles later, the belt broke in traffic. I was lucky enough to be close to a different repair station who changed it for $133. So because of Muffler Man's incompetence, I was out of pocket an extra $100. When I called Nick, he became EXTREMELY defensive, screaming "A belt can break at any time". While that statement is true, it just doesn't ring true given the facts outlined above. Luckily for me I was able to recover the failed belt and in the photo I am attaching you can clearly see all of the cracks on this dried out belt. The belt is 15 years old! I bought this car new and it has never been replaced. I told Nick this when he told me that it didn't need replacing. Nick is hard-headed, does NOT listen to the customer, and has a very short fuse. Therefore I cannot do anymore business with Muffler Man of Cape Coral. read more

Nick at the front desk, and the other mechanic whom I spoke to briefly could not have been nice. Everyone was friendly and professional. I took my '97 Del Sol in before driving out of town for work because there was a serious rattle happening. I knew the range of issues that could account for the noise, and hoped it was minor( I have had the experience many times of mechanics thinking I don't know re cars as I am a woman, and I'm wary of being told work is needed that isn't, or overcharging). I had no reason for concern here- the Muffler Man guys took care of the problem in the simplest way possible and didn't even charge for their time or for an estimate. I was having issue in a warm climate with no AC in my older vehicle. My neighbor suggested I have Muffler Man take a look at my issue. Without an appointment, I stopped in when they opened and within the hour I was feeling cold AC. This was at the end of the season last year and I asked if I'm gone for 6 months and return to find my vehicle AC unit is not charged and not blowing cold air next year, will you honor the work you did and take care of it. No problem was the owners answer. I have since returned and when I started my vehicle this year the AC worked perfectly. I think I'll have them give me an oil change ! read more

I got a seriously flat tire. Luckily my son was home, we got the tire off and brought it to Muffler Man. The hole was huge and could not be repaired so Nick ordered my new tire for the next day. The problem was I had nobody to put it on for me so they sent someone to my house to put the tire on and didn't charge me extra! BEWARE!!!! - the owner of this business takes no responsiblity for errors made by his employees. If it indeed was an error - more likely an intentional way to scam elderly people out of more money by causing another system in the car to fail after fixing one system. My elderly parents went to this shop paid $750 to replace a radiator..in the process the person installing the radiator broke off a bolt to the a/c compressor causing it to leak all fluid and stop a/c in van from working. We returned a few minutes after leaving was told they could fix the problem for an additional $350. Next day returned AFTER having the problem fixed by another shop for less cost...with the bolt and evidence that the employee had broken the bolt off and caused the problem, requested at the very least a refund for the labor. The owner refused stated "that's the way things go" Please heed the warning this shop and its owner are very untrustworthy and may make any repair to your vehicle worse by intentionally sabatoging another of your vehicles systems and then offering to fix it for more money!!!! read more
