Fun place. The atmosphere is great and the staff is nice. Come to meet lots of young single Brazilians who are looking to mingle!

Awesome place to grab a premium beer, listen to good music and meet new people. Specially recommended on week days and for foreign people!

It was my third time trying out Charleston Lounge. The space and decor is very nice. The tables…read moreallow for bigger groups (5-8) to sit and enjoy a bit of bubbly or different drinks as well as some food. The food is on the pricier end, and what was ordered for the event, it wasnt that amazing. They have an oyster plate, which i've heard was decent. Yesterday's event, we had their bruschetta, calamari, shrimp and beef with onion and mushroom dish. I cant say that they were the best ive had...but its possibly cause i do feel the food is slightly on the pricier side for the serving sizes. Overall, i do feel the location is ok. The ambience is good. they offer a variety of menu items. they even have live music on some days (a cover charge of R$18 will be added to your bill). I think if you want some bubbly and somewhere different, sure go for it...but its not a place that is always on the top of my list....

Cool bar with decent food albeit mediocre service. We jumped in here as it was raining our way to…read morethe beach volleyball venue (rio Olympics) and ended up staying 2 hrs. Good vibe and cool place. We all had drinks, pastas (not huge portions if you're a big eater) and dessert. They have 3-4 TVs but it doesn't feel like your typical sports bar and the food was fresh and came out piping hot :) it's slightly off of the main beach drag in an old brick building with high ceilings.

It's a good spot to hang out with friends, have a smoke on the outside patio, watch a soccer match on the tv and try the variety of craft draft beers they have on tap. The service was fine, early on a non-busy weekday night. We tried the cheesy cheddar fries with bacon. Be cautioned that cheddar is used lightly around here, any orange colored cheese. If you're a Wisconsin cheese enthusiast, you will be sorely disappointed that this cheese is distributed among the fries in a paste, shaped like it was squeeze from a tube. Luckily it's easy to pick off since it was a bit dry and tasteless. It came with a much better cheese dipping sauce and BBQ sauce and was sprinkled with bits of bacon. The fries weren't super crispy but what can you expect at a bar. The bruschetta appetizer was a very generous proportion that makes it easy to share with a table. There's six giant toasts with three different toppings. The beers on tap rotate regularly but the delirium averbode was a nice refreshing beer while the Brooklyn sorachi saison was also delicious and spicy. Both were R$30 for a 300 mL cup, a little too pricy to enjoy too much of. To be fair, all craft beer, especially imported beer is quite pricy. They did offer larger amounts for incrementally higher prices and growlers were available. They have the best space on that street since they get to spread out in front of the Caixa bank when it's closed.
