Zack White Leather Co, as the name suggests, has that last one in abundance. When I walked in, it smelled like a new car, my favorite cold weather coat, my college roommate's horse barn, and my first pair of leather boots. Except for the new car, this store had just about all of the other things and everything I'd need to make my own of all of it, had I the artistic skill to do so. Yes, there's leather here and it's not all white. And it isn't all leather, but has a link to leather. It's like a tack shop, leather hides and skins fabric shop, and craft shop all in one building. There's leather by the piece, leather already assembled in a vest, jacket, pants, bags, belts, holsters, dog collars and leashes, plus patterns and kits for wallets, key rings, bags, belts, gun belts, book covers. I also saw shoe soles (cobblers of the world, unite!). There's leather by the piece in colors, but there are also leather dyes and stains if none of the existing colors work, imprinting supplies, tools, buckles, grommets, conchos. . .and more. And then there are the leather and horse care supplies...the surprises here just didn't end. .. Just like the smell of leather. Take a deep breath.

I saw a non profit group, walk in with an armful of tiny little chidlren's vests, they needed their group patches sewn on, for they had 'adopted' those abused kids and those vests were going to those kids, free from that organization. I saw Jennifer drop everything to do it right away and then she gave them 'cost' price, which was almost nothing. I was about to cry I was so moved. I know it literally cost Jennifer money to do that for them, but like all of us, I'm sure she was paid, in other ways.
