I really like this store, and what all they have available, however, beware, a lot of their items are not true military surplus, but are new knock offs that don't hold up as well as the real military items. One thing in particular is the can opener, the P 38 or P51 are cheap knock offs that break. read more

They have a few cheap knock-off items around, but the vast majority of the vast and varied inventory is the genuine articles. It's SO refreshing to find such a store. This place is huge. No really, it is massive. I went there seeking the top of a military uniform for a video that I was making. They had that, and we found other items that were irresistable. They have Trump hats too. Prepare to spend hours looking around, and occasionally being startled by a precariously placed manikin in full military attire. read more

Stopped in Delk's while I was passing through on the way to northern NC on a business trip in early 2013. The store is in the middle of nowhere but it is one of the best military/surplus stores I have ever been to. There is one huge main building and a few smaller buildings and outdoor areas with 'bigger stuff'. I spent hours here, but be aware, there's a lot of walking involved, it can be quite hot, and the floors in the main building are concrete. There is such a random assortment of items here I can hardly describe them. There's normal stuff like tents and knives, but also unexpected stuff like decommissioned medical equipment, projectors, telephones, and all the other stuff that was in use by our military at one time or another. I have never seen so much actual surplus in my life. They had everything. Need a helicopter? They've got that. Need a mess kit? Yep. If you go, prepare to spend at least 2 hours wandering around and you still won't see everything. read more

Been here twice and will go back again! This was the biggest surplus store I've ever been in and one of those places you could spend a long time in and still miss something. The only down side is the place is so big that it is obviously hard to heat and cool the place. Went on hot days both times and roasted inside! read more

My kids are Boy scouts, and twice per year we go to camp at Camp Woodfield, about six or eight miles down the road from Delk's. We made it a tradition several years ago to allow enough time to stop in for a couple of hours on our way. We have bought Boy Scout supplies, cast iron products, knives and clothing here. Great selection, great staff and a great diversion if you just want to see some unusual gear. Definately worth a couple of hours. read more
