In covering all the aspects of the party I thought about the possibility of weather issues. So I decided a tent would be the solution. I called around for a couple of quotes but after speaking to Justin from Magnif-A-Tent I knew I was heading in the right direction. When the guest list was completed we had 125 guests coming. Not being exactly sure of what size tent we would need, Justin came to my house to measure out the yard to find the best location and to see how big a tent we would need. He laid out a plan for a 30 x 60 tent with an adjoining 20 x 20 tent for a dance floor, and for good measure a 10 x 10 tent for the DJ. Justin and his crew showed up Friday morning and spent 7 hrs setting up these tents along with tables, linens and chairs. Saturday morning it was raining and Justin and another fellow showed up early in the morning to double check that everything was perfect and we would have no problems. The party began and the weather cooperated as best it could. Party was fabulous and went off without a hitch because of Magnif-A-Tent. Do I recommend them. Well if you have to ask then you haven't read this review. If I every need a tent there's only one number I'll call.

Efrain responded to communications quickly and politely, and even stopped by the house to assess the space for recommendations. I'd say the only confusing portion of the process was the varying prices between types of tents that are the same size (rope vs pole...etc). But, a quick in person conversation remedied this. Efrain and the team showed up on time two days before the event for set up, and the morning following the event for pick up. The tent was in fine condition as were the tables and chairs. There was a very windy rainstorm the night before our event and we were concerned the tent would be blown down and everything would be wet. Not only was the tent still in perfect condition but nothing was wet. We would definitely use them again and we recommend them. My only complaint was that they had a large set up before us so they came late. We wish the office had contacted us to let us know that they would be arriving after the given window.

Astatically, everything looked good, however, the tent had holes which allowed water to infiltrate the festivities. Rainwater fell on the cake, cake table, my main table and chairs, the dance floor, the photo staging areas, on guest heads, along with other areas because of the holes in the tent and the poor gutter technology. The two gutter systems collected water but did not funnel the water away from the inside of the tent. The gutters became filled with water, drooping/hang down within the tent. Finally, they overflowed with water inside the tent, disrupting the event. The staff had to push the water up and forward from the gutters by directing the water away from the inside of the tent. Out of the three commercial heaters rented, one connection was faulty and allowed for propane to leak. So, we were not able to use the one heater because it was unsafe. The LED bar lights were not charged properly, nor were we given the cord(s) to charge them up ourselves, which did not allow us to use the light features. I had the following products within my package listed below. I had 100 guests and about 20 staff members. * Two 10 X 30 CLEAR TOP FRAME TENT - $1,100.00 * One 40 X 60 CLEAR TOP FRAME TENT - $2,900.00 * 240 FEET OF CLEAR SIDEWALLS (FULLY ENCLOSED) - $600.00 * Two 30' GUTTER * LIGHTS: BISTRO PACKAGE (EXTENSION CORD NOT INCLUDED) - $520.00 * 10 TABLES: ROUND: 72" LINENS NOT INCLUDED - $120.00 * One TABLES: BANQUET: 96" LINENS NOT INCLUDED - $15.00 * 100 CHAIRS: GARDEN-WHITE WITH PADDED SEAT (DELIVERED STACKED UP) $300.00 * Three HEATER: 80,000 BTU'S COMMERCIAL (PROPANE NOT INCLUDED) - $375.00 * One BAR: LED - $250.00 * TOTAL: $6,713.03 I am not sure why Long Island Tent & Party Rentals did not test the tent to ensure all holes were fixed so water would not get into the tent. I'm not sure why the connectors were not tested for the heaters. And, I am not sure why the cord was not sent with the LED Bar lights to ensure they were adequately charged. I explained to the company my reasoning for getting the tent was because of the dip or drop in the temperature during the night, and the forecasted rain on the day of the event. Nonetheless, I voiced to the company the issues listed above, and I was compensated for the one heater. I felt unheard when I spoke on the lighting issue with the LED bar, and I felt dismissed and gaslit when I brought up the rain getting into the tent through the holes after I spent a total of $6,713.03. I felt devalued.

They arrived on time to drop off all of the rentals, and picked them up same day as soon as the event was over. Their team was timely, efficient, and easy to work with! This company is not based in Manhattan, and in my experience, they have absolutely no understanding of how to operate or coordinate deliveries and pickups in the city. Manhattan venues have strict access schedules, building requirements, and limited delivery windows. This company seems completely unprepared to handle any of that. There is no customer service. The owner, Scott Gorky, answers the calls himself, yet repeatedly forgets or contradicts what was previously agreed upon. I specifically discussed delivery and pickup times when placing my order. On the morning of my event, I called to reconfirm the schedule, only to have Scott deny what we had discussed. And threaten me to cancel the order just hours before the event. He was an extremely short temper. The delivery arrived nearly an hour early, when no one was at the venue. This was a rented event space, not my residence, which I had made very clear. To make matters worse, I paid for 40 chairs and received only 38. When I requested a refund for the two missing chairs, he said he would. However I still don't have the refund. It's been 5 days since the event. I had also explicitly arranged for same-day pickup because the venue was not my property. Despite this, the chairs were not collected as agreed. I repeatedly tried to reach him to resolve the situation. I made it clear that the chairs needed to be collected by 12 PM and that, if they were not picked up, I would have no choice but to leave them outside the door because I had no further access to the rented space. Immediately after that phone conversation, I received a $400 charge on my credit card. The chairs were eventually picked up, yet these charges were still imposed! What was most disturbing was Scott's behavior on the phone. He was rude, insulting, and aggressive. He also made comments that I found racist and offensive toward Spanish-speaking people. Which I am. This company failed to deliver the full order, disregarded agreed-upon scheduling arrangements, refused to refund missing equipment, and imposed $400 in additional charges despite eventually collecting its chairs. If you are organizing an event in Manhattan, I would strongly recommend finding a company that actually understands the logistics of operating here and respects its customers. I would never rent from this company again. Completely unprofessional from beginning to end
