To those reading this review, im not in the business of down talking any establishment that provides a service to the public! Nobody is perfect and sometimes we may not get top notch service for our hard earned money! With that being said there's no excuse for repeated failure in this economy when your not getting your monies worth when I trust that im gonna get what I pay for! I visited this car wash 4 times and 3 out 4 times I used this service, there was some kind of malfunction with its equipment and chemicals, the first time I used the touchless drive thru, my wifes car came out basically as dirty as it was before entering! All the surface dirt was still on the sides of her car! There's a number posted on the front of business, as follows ( if you have any problems call 717-653-4819 ) there's no point in calling this number because its set up for you, not to express your problem you may be having with the service provided! And I say this because I've called this number several times to no avail! And my thought is....... if the owner/manager was concerned about any problems experienced by a consumer/customer having a voice mail would be a good ideal!! But instead of a voice mail recording, you get we are unable to complete your call at this time! So i guess the only way to resolve your problem is keep driving there wasting gas hoping you see someone there working to speak with on the matter, or chulk it up as a loss and never go back!! Pretty crappy options!Unless you happen to see someone there while having ice cream at little dippers I will admit on 1 out of the 3 occasions of problems I've experienced with this place i happen to see a guy that was working on somthing whom said he was the owner, I told him about my situation with my wifes car, also the phone number no one ever answers! on the listed phone number to telling him how dirty my wifes car was after paying 12.00 at the time, he did give me my money back! Im a person that believes in second chances, and although him losing my service won't break the bank or the business! Im still a paying customer and I have ben back to this establishment 3 more times! For pricing on the wash bay the other problem is not getting the full time you pay for! Your choice of chemical soap, wheel cleaner ect Doesn't start dispensing until 45-50 seconds after selection is made! Thats alot when your paying in minutes! And my latest problem is again using the wash bay losing time because foam brush kept falling apart and I had to literally try and hold it in place while in the middle of cleaning my car! Ive called 10 times and got no answer !! And again no way to leave a message! Im done and I wouldnt recommend this car wash at all! It seems they have unsavory practices!! read more

Awful place. Payment machine takes money, then the equipment doesn't work. Automatic bays jam up. if you call service number, nobody answers. Save the time and aggravation, go to a different car wash. To me, this place feels like a poorly run scam. read more

I have used mount joy out of car wash 4 times in january and noticed a price jump from $5.00 in the beginning of month to $12.00 the end of month. Al I can say is I used the roughly the same amount of time to spray yet it seems like price skyrocketed in a couple weeks. Not going back. read more

Don't waste your money. Spent $10.00 on automatic wash, looked much worse when it was finished then it did when I pulled in. Car was covered in dirt and spots. I will never use this car wash again. read more

The automatic car wash charges $10.00 for the "$5.00 Basic" wash. Has happen two times now.

I am from out of the area. Wanted to wash the car from the drive to visit family. I used the automatic wash do to the lack of small bills and I noticed the automatic takes credit cards. Opted for the $10 wash. The automatic wash cleaned the car well. When I did leave, I looked for a trash can, just to get rid of a small amount of trash from the ride here. I didn't find any trash cans around the vacuum cleaners. From some of the other posts, I wonder if they removed the cans. I understand people can abuse the courtesy of having trash cans available. Taking them away for everyone else, is excessive. read more

I use this car wash quite often and this past experience convinced me to never use this again! I went to this car wash to clean my car out, with first taking my trash out as a normal person would before I started to vacuum my car. Then I started seeing the people who own the place/or work there, but I'm pretty sure its the owner, just watching me, so I got uncomfortable and left, which was no big deal because I had to leave for work anyhow. Not even a hour later while at work I get a call from a police officer, these a**holes called the police on me for throwing trash in the trash cans, and if I don't come back and remove it before tomorrow they are pressing charges against me!? This is a nice car wash as far as convenience, cleanliness, and having up to date equipment. The reason for the two star rating is simply due to the fact that the man who runs it is a total jerk. The last two times I have gone there he's found something to nag me about. Tonight at around 730, I went there to vacuum my car. While performing the the obligatory de-trashing of my car, I broke up a shoe box that had been in my trunk and threw it in the trash. The man (I believe he's the owner) approached me and asked me if I was going to leave my trash "there". I was confused and said, "I threw it in the trash can." He again asked me if I was going to leave it there. I remained confused and asked if it was a trash can, he replied it was and was there for customers to "throw a little bit of trash". I explained I was cleaning out my car before vacuuming it, and he appeared incredulous that I was actually going to vacuum my car there. Perhaps there's some nefarious group of people that just go around to various car washes dumping garbage, but unfortunately I know nothing of it. He was so rude that had I not already emptied my car out I would have just left. Save yourself the hassle and use the car wash at the other end of town. I don't think there are any garbage police at that one. read more
