If I could give zero stars I would. We put a down payment on a motor 5/30/2023 and were told it would be ready for pick up the following week. It is now 7/13/2023 and we have yet to receive the motor we put a deposit on. Not only that we have to constantly call them to see where they are with the motor instead of them contacting us to let us know what's happening from the very beginning. As well as the fact that when we first wanted to buy the motor they told us it only had an issue with a head that they would fix but yet every week we call again to see what is going on with the motor it's "getting something else fixed". My only issue is if you can't provide a product that you say you have in the time you said you can have it by why say anything at all? Overall the lack of communication there is a big downfall. If you have the time then this is a good place for you but if you're like me who works and has other things going on in life I don't recommend this place. They have done nothing but add more stress to my plate. read more

We did not check the time they closed...but to have a door slammed in your face as I was opening it and no acknowledgement whatsoever, or hey sorry we are closed, not a word other than we are closed!! This place is not all too professional. I mean, I know its a junk yard but I have been to plenty of others looking for a trunk for my boyfriend's car and I have never felt so ripped off or unappreciated as a customer. First of all, we found the trunk in a similar color to my boyfriend's car here and we couldn't find it anywhere else- after searching on and off for over a year- when we found one here, we decided to JUMP on it. We walk in, its dirty of course ( I know its a junk yard but they are a business, much like a mechanic, but they keep their offices clean because CUSTOMERS ***paying customers*** come in there!) anyways, it was gross. Their chairs in the office were car seats which would have been really cool if they weren't all filled with dirt and whatever else people spill on their car seats- maybe some blood from their accident? NO THANKS! We stood. Initially when we called to verify they had the item we were looking for, the customer service over the phone was good so that is why I gave them a whopping two stars. We told the guy that we were the people that called about the Toyota trunk lid and he seemed to remember the call. He told us to wait for a bit so we waited for probably 15 minutes and he called us back to the desk and asked " are you guys actually interested in the trunk because I have to have someone pull it from the back and if you're not interested I am not going to make him do all that" that REALLY frustrated me, YES! Yes guy, we are interested, HENCE why we are here. Moving on. We wait another 15- 20 minutes and a gentleman brings the trunk lid into the office. We look at it, it's a little dinged up but it will do. So we start talking price and thats when he says "$275" we were like wait a sec, you said on the phone $250, he quickly changed to $250 then when we raised an eyebrow he said $200 out the door if you pay cash! We said okay, put our cash together and didn't have enough so we told him we would go to the bank and come back. At that point he told us that we couldn't come back because they closed in 4 minutes ... it was 4:56... all of the signs say 5:30... so... he had no response. Then, he was like look, how much do you have cash, I was like $190 he said he would take that then he notices more money in my wallet and started questioning me, I showed him my $2 bill that my grand mother gave me that I have had forever, I told him she told me it was "good luck" and he wanted it! Even after he said $190. When all was said and done, I miscounted the cash I had and ended up having $200 anyways so he took it. Long story short, we were completely ripped off by MST Recycling!!! We later found out that this part goes for $165 NEW! They were trying to sell us an old dinged up one for $275 and ended up giving us a "deal" for $200 for again, a dirty used and dinged up part! This business is a scam do not go there for anything because you're likely to get ripped off. Its businesses like this that make me regret trying to support the little guys, Its easier and more cost efficient to go the corporate for your needs most of the time anyways. read more

When you're in a money crunch and don't want to pay retail, go here. I went in search for a lit tachometer for Lexy, and ended up with a better deal. The needle itself goes for $26 on most sites but I scored a hole gauge panel for $65 plus with the money I saved, I got a window motor that I've been lacking because of cost savings. I walked away with both for $113. Normally the instrument panel runs around $200 by itself. The service counter was busy and forgot about me for awhile and some confusion as to what I needed resulted in a cash discount for me, in the end. I've frequented this place many times before and you shouldn't have to pay retail for trivial stuff that is cheap plastic and overpriced. Don't believe me? Shop around. Called for a motor. They told me it had 83k miles on it. When I went in to pay for it. The receipt said 133k. I decided to swallow it and take it anyways. Got home Ran a carfax on the VIN number of the motor and also found an auction page of that vehicle. Turns out it actually has 169k miles. Warning to all of you. Run the carfax of the VIN number on the engines and transmissions you buy. All Toyotas have them since the early 90's and if they don't have them, then someone purposely removed them. read more

Ordered an in-dash wire harness for my Japan built Camry from this establishment and it was a perfect match. They have the VIN available so you can confirm through the dealer if it is compatible with your vehicle. The harness came complete and shipped with care. It took a few days to ship but that was not a problem after seeing the detailed work, everything was complete and no wires were cut. Although we live in a world where we need it yesterday, the work they did for me was worth the hours they put into providing quality work. Never do business here. Why? Draconian policy - you lose before you even start. Their policy: If the part they sell you is faulty, (i.e., does not work at all), they will not cover any labor costs you incur by having their part professionally installed. Are you kidding me? There is no way for the consumer to ascertain whether the part is good or not; the consumer buys the part on good faith that it is in working order. So they sell parts as though the parts are good but if the part is immediately installed and is found not in working order they leave the consumer on the hook for the labor cost of installing and un-installing their faulty part. They claim they warranty their parts. That's not a warranty, that's deception. What hucksters. I expressed that this wasn't right and voiced my displeasure with this policy. When I said I didn't want to further argue the point but would simply take it up with my credit card company, they told me that because I was going to take it up with the credit card company, they would offer a refund but no exchange, only then claiming that my car damaged their part. If that wasn't so pretzel-logic twisted it would be funny. It's not enough that I had to make two 75-mile trips buying and then returning their faulty part, they decided they would "punish" me for standing up and voicing my displeasure with their Draconian policy. That's just plain bully tactics. But their "punishment" didn't stop there. After processing a refund they sent me to a nearby business where they said I could buy the part. At the second business the cost of the part was doubled. Hmmmm. Something is rotten in Denmark. I have no doubt they called ahead and told their buddies to charge me double. There is no way that two junkyards less a mile apart would charge such a disparate price for the same part. I just smiled and bought the part. And of course, you guessed it -- the second part is faulty too. My mechanic bench tested it. Yet another 75-mile trip to return yet another faulty part to the second business. What kind of miserable people run a business this way? You guessed it, SCUMBAGS. Unscrupulous. Avoid doing business here. read more

I bought a part from this company and was told that I would have it by the end of the week. Then 5 days after it was supposed to be at my house they call and state that the part I ordered was bought by someone else and they were wondering if I would take something else. I work in the manufacturing industry if you tell someone that you have a part and then do a bait and switch after taking money then you make it right. I feel shafted and hope no one else has to go through the crap that they put me through. Last year during the blizzard in Boston, a shard of metal was frozen in a snow bank with about a foot long piece sticking out. I got too close to it and it ripped a gash in the passenger side rocker panel cover. No problem, I thought, I'll just pick up a new one at my local Honda dealership. They wanted OVER $400 for what is, basically, a big piece of plastic approximately five feet long. Plan B was to contact a local recycling outfit but nobody seemed to have the part that I needed, or if they did, they were asking a couple of hundred dollars for it. Finally, I Googled the part I needed and found Rancho Honda and Acura Recycling in Rancho Cordova, Caifornia. A guy named Victor picked up the phone and told me they had the part I needed. He said it would cost $50 plus $60 for shipping via FedEx. I got the part within a week, carefully ensconced in bubble wrap and packed in a corrugated cardboard outer shell. Quick service and a fair price is all I was looking for and I got it. Anyone needing Honda or Acura parts should contact this outfit because they take their business seriously. read more
