The room was $200 usd a night. I realize that $150 of that is because of Carnival so yeah this is about a $50 a night hotel. Imagine what that is and that's what you get so not too bad. The room is pretty clean the A/C worked fine. The room was a little worn but again for $50 a night not bad. The shower had great pressure. The buffet wasn't too bad either. There are pictures in the elevator that I'll post that makes it seem like you can order food but when I asked they said no so I'd take those pictures down so people don't eat before returning for the evening thinking they can order room service. There were plenty of snacks and drinks behind the counter and the sandwiches weren't too bad actually. The are "Centro" is pretty shitty. Compared to the Copacabana area it's pretty run down and smells like shit and piss. Over all 3 stars.

We booked with Chase Sapphire Reserve and had quite a good amount of specials. A resort credit, an upgrade, late checkout, and free breakfast. The suite had beautiful high ceilings, spacious bathroom and living room, and we were met with a bottle of champagne upon our arrival. Concierge and hotel staff took care of everything for us from restaurant bookings to attractions to attraction and spa bookings. I can't say enough about the friendly and helpful nature of everyone we encountered. We enjoyed breakfast each morning with a beautiful buffet of fruits, pastries, meats, cheeses, fresh fruit juices, eggs, sausage, and more. We also could order off the menu for specific items. Coffee, sparkling wine, and juices included. The pool was the perfect temperature(its temperature controlled), and well attended with bathrooms right there. Outside on the beach the hotel has its own tent, chairs, and towels. Complimentary beach bag and flip flops upon your arrival. Turndown included fresh water and treats, and I loved the scents of all their products. Great restaurants on site as well as nearby.

Breakfast wasn't included but was quite good with the yoghurt, ham/cheese sandwiches, eggs and toast. Also were provided with the house banana cake which was good. Location was good and close to the escadron selaron. Also close to Santa Teresa center where there are cool restaurants and shops. Overall, great experience. Would recommend staying here in you're in Rio.

The neighborhood is a slower pace of life and so much less hectic. The hotel is most certainly an urban oasis. Lush foliage adorns the grounds, the small pool is intimate and overlooks Centro Rio, the pool bar is also great. The rooms are rustic and farm like. Haters would say the bathrooms are a bit cramped but the room itself was spacious and had a nice veranda overlooking the city. A/C is freezing in a good way. Bed was comfy as were the pillows. Turn down service with cookie and chocolates was nice. The iced coffee in the lobby made with orange juice is very refreshing and energizing. The location is close to many bars and restaurants. Safety was never and issue and the staff is as helpful as they are delightful. Breakfast was nice. On the weekends they had cool activities like a seafood bbq, morning yoga, and our favorite a free local tour given an amazing woman Cecilia who lives in the immediate area. If you like to walk and enjoy history, it's a must and only takes 1.5 hours.
