We were talking about having his photos taken by a professional so we asked around. We asked our friends where they took their newborns to have their pictures taken and the majority went to sears, wal-mart, etc. Then my fiancé suggested Pasheoni Photography. The photographer Sheryl, is a childhood friend of my fiancé and so she was thrilled to take pictures of our son for us. We set up an appointment with Sheryl, and she arrived all prepared with all her tools and props. Sheryl first made herself familiar with our son, introducing herself and making sure he felt safe and comfortable around her, which I don't see as a problem at all because she is the sweetest person you'll ever meet. After that, she started setting up everything and got to work. Sheryl is a very calm, sweet and patient photographer so I'm sure all babies will love her. My son Tyler was a challenge for her but she was still able to manage even with all his fussing. She sent us our pictures over facebook later that same night so we can get a little teaser of them and they... were... beautiful. I love her work so much. I would definitely recommend Sheryl and Pasheoni Photography to all new parents.

We did a pregnancy announcement photo shoot with Eddie last weekend, and from start to finish it…read morecouldn't have been any easier to coordinate, and the pics couldn't have come out any better, they were perfect! We were throwing together the idea last minute, I contacted him less than a week before the day we wanted the photo shoot and then asked for him to turn around the pics in just 3 days- both of which he was totally open to and did with ease. Of course- we were doing a mini photo shoot, not a big event, so that may not be possible in every case. He's especially amazing with kids- my son is shy and he has high functioning autism- and Eddie made him so comfortable and genuinely laugh in every picture by learning his interests before we started. Emily was so helpful, kind and professional from start to finish. She gave me great recommendations for shoot locations, and was flexible with the timing. On the day of, it unfortunately started to sprinkle, but Emily managed to keep everyone mostly dry despite us all being outside. (She offered to reschedule the shoot, but we opted for doing as much as we could since some family had to drive/fly in.) We managed to squeeze in a lot of photos before the real downpour started and we never felt rushed either. She was really kind and patient with my family, and got so many great shots of all of us smiling! Everything felt so easy and she's so great at directing poses, especially since some of us had no idea what to do. The final results were fantastic too, I was blown away by the quality of the composition, framing, and editing. My family's pretty awkward sometimes but she made us all look like a model Pinterest family! I'm so happy we chose her as a photographer, cause now we have some really beautiful photos of our family to look back at in the future. As with many other engaged couples, the pandemic had thrown a small wrench in our plans of a…read moretraditional wedding with a reception. Only the *tiniest* bit bummed, we decided to still get married and scheduled our civil ceremony. But now, I want a photographer to document this event... I think I found Emily on Instagram, after looking around at different photographers' work. I remember really liking Emily's style, how natural everyone looked, and how well Emily captured the moments. I think those were/are the most important things for me for choosing a photog, and it helped that Emily has (solid) reviews for me to go through as well. Emily was prompt in responding via email, and offered to chat on the phone to discuss the details and what I wanted. After talking for a bit, I sent over a deposit and we were set! Or not... because a week or two before our shoot, I looked at my civil ceremony appointment time and it was actually for 8am, NOT 8:30am. Yikes! I text Emily, nervous that she wouldn't be able to make the earlier time, and I would need to scramble for another photographer, but thankfully, Emily is flexible and okay with the earlier time. Phew! I also wasn't quite sure *what* I wanted from the photos (POSES? props!? specific backgrounds?!) but found some pictures I liked and sent them to Emily a day or two before our appointment, so she had an idea what I was going for. I appreciate Emily's responsiveness! The actual civil ceremony felt a little hectic; we did not know what it would entail -- paperwork, of course, and then waiting because there were other couples that were getting married that day. Thankfully, Emily was very patient. Emily is personable, friendly, and professional. She is very easy to work with, and helped the husband (!!) and I feel comfortable. Nothing felt forced, and I think she did a great job of eliciting and capturing our authentic moments. We are super pleased with the pictures and I can't stop looking at them! Lol. I would *definitely* solicit Emily's services again. Maybe for one of her fun mini shoots down the line. What a cute, low pressure and creative way to get some quality photos! Literally - I fell in LOVE with all of her photos-- I knew this girl had some A-game skills! She was super personable and VERY down to earth! I remember going to the Sharp clinic for pediatrician visits and seeing her photography on the San Diego Family Magazines. She's very down to earth, sociable, understanding, on-time, offers varied themed photo sessions in addition to regular appointment gigs, and maybe most importantly?... she's able to make my kids laugh (even with doing her gig solo!). This attribute makes for great, genuine photos. She will also provide feedback on outfits and "pose" you (little things I'm grateful for since I'm not much of a posing person and then single Dad trying to figure out outfits and what not). The only bad thing I can say, if it's a negative at all, is the online system to select/order photos from has a clunkiness to it specifically with the favorite/star system, but Chris points this out as part of her instructions and advises how to work that.
