Easily the most comfortable shoot I've ever done!! Johnny, Mr. La, works WITH you. He'll have suggestions to make the shots look better, but overall, he'll let you do your thing. Loved his headshots, so I asked if he'd be open to doing a cosplay shoot. Luckily for me, he was more than happy to do so. Best photos I've ever gotten with my outfits!! Johnny gives you a rundown of what to expect the day of the shoot - weather conditions, lighting, whatever else you'd need to know. All you need to do is show up. He'll go over briefly the areas he's scouted out for the shoot, what he thinks will work with your outfit / look. Then you start with a few test shots to get the lighting just right and it picks up from there. I was able to get a few outfits in the hour and a half I had with him, and I had more photos I liked than usual. Definitely a pleasant surprise. I'm somewhat picky when it comes to photos of myself; I usually feel like there's something off, that I look funny. The little suggestions Johnny made, small tweaks here and there, really made a huge difference in the photos. He'll help position you to get more flattering angles and better lighting on your face. Huge plus: He gets you your shots FAST. I've had to wait weeks to months before I even get to see RAW images from other photographers. Johnny sent everything to me night of, and a few edited ones the next day. I was blown away by his efficiency. Too bad he isn't in my area. Would love to work him more often.
Johnny is the best! I was looking for new Acting Headshots & also pictures I could use on my Social Media pages (Twitter & Youtube). I came across Johnny with such a high rating on Yelp plus the pictures in his Social Media pages were very impressive! I contacted him & he responded very quickly. He was very good on communication as well as very detailed on giving me the info I needed on what type of packages I was looking for. Johnny's prices were incredibly affordable for the services he provides compared to other Photographers I had looked up. I booked with him right away! I had met Johnny Downtown, and I don't go Downtown often but Johnny was very knowledgeable about great places to shoot. I could tell about the spots he picked that Johnny knew his stuff as far as Lighting and Backgrounds to use. Johnny was very professional & made me feel very relaxed as taking pictures for anyone can be very nerve-racking. Johnny was very patient and took several pictures. Johnny said we would not move on until I was satisfied with the pictures he had took and that was very nice to hear about a photographer who cared about getting the shots right and not just about the money. I've used another photographer who just took shots & wanted to move on or was on a time table. Johnny has great methods in not only getting you to relax but to bring the real you into the pictures he takes. The photo shoot was fun, Johnny seemed to enjoy what he does & he never seemed to be in a rush. Afterwards, he sent me the pictures for me to pick some for him to Retouch, he even picked some out for me that he recommended which was great because there were a lot of pictures we took. Johnny gave me a time table on when he could get the Final Pictures back to me & was even earlier than he said. Johnny would even keep me in the loop, sending me updates while he was editing the pictures. I was incredibly happy with how the Final Pictures turned out, Johnny is not only a talented Photographer, he's a talented editor too! Thank you so much Johnny, I definitely recommend Mr. La Photography & will definitely use him again!

Johnny La is the kindest photographer you'll meet. Hands down. I was fortunate to have met Johnny at a Networking mixer at USC. I got his business card from and knew right away that I wanted to work with him. I contacted Johnny not long after for new actor's headshots. Even before the day of the shoot, he was always more than willing to answer the million and one questions I had for him. I sent him photos of potential outfits and he gave me feedback and provided me all the details & information I needed prior to the shoot. I get pretty nervous in front of the camera, but on the day of the shoot, Johnny's friendly nature and silly methods to calm me down were quite helpful! Right away, he makes you feel as if you're old friends. I dread awkwardness, but I felt comfortable through the entire process. Additionally, he is more than willing to take as many shots needed until you're satisfied with your look. After the shoot was over, he sent me all the files of my photos the same day so I could choose which looks I wanted him to edit. In just a matter of days after I had chosen which photos I wanted, Johnny send me over the final, edited photos, and they look great! TL;DR: Looking for a photographer to take your headshots? Johnny is very professional and makes you feel very comfortable. He takes his time and makes sure he gets the best shots as possible. He sends you an email with details, location, and what to expecr. We met last Sunday and he was punctual, and everything went smoothly. I totally recccomend Johnny for any photography needs you may have. Thanks Johnny!! read more

Amazing photographer and he's very professional and gets the job done with the best results possible! I was blown away by the amazing shots he took of me I will definitely be going back to him and I've referenced him to every friend, family members I know. You definitely won't regret this photo shoot. read more
