One of the reasons we hired Amazing DJ was because it was a one stop shop, made it easy. You got a DJ, photographer, photo booth, and wedding planning, plus we did engagement photos ahead of time. No need to coordinate or have multiple vendors. Love love love all the photos. From the wedding, they capture the essence of our guests and feel of the event. So many photos to choose from! The BAD Elephant…read more Blue Elephant is AMATURE catering at best. In a few words: disorganized and dysfunctional management, poor communication, tasteless and bland food. This placed doesn't even deserve one star. Thankfully, boxed pizza saved the day. We hired them for our wedding a few years back to serve apps and a sit down dinner. As appetizers were passed, we noticed there were NO bacon wrapped scallops. Instead, Blue Elephant REPLACED this with some fig-thing! Apparently they were unable or simply forgot to get the scallops?? This last minute substitutions was made WITHOUT our knowledge and without ANY price adjustment/refund towards the bill, which of course they make you prepay in full. No satisfaction guarantee with this company. The plated dinner was such a disaster! The steak was so disgusting and poorly cooked, no one ate it and the brussel sprouts that accompanied it were completely inedible. How do you mess up brussel sprouts?! It was really upsetting to see all the thousands of dollars worth of food, be dumped into the trash. Some of our guests actually LEFT our wedding and brought back PIZZA!! So this is what you get when you spend thousands and hire people who claim to have 27 years of catering experience?? How embarrassing. Not to mention, you can expect a ridiculous delay in emails, expect to make numerous calls to get a hold of either Ruben or Fausto and prepare yourself for lots of confusion and unexpected menu changes without being notified or reimbursed. Hiring the BAD Elephant was a total waste of money and I would never recommend them to anybody!

As I was working my way down the boardwalk of the latest festival, I was curious of a large group of people, children and adults alike, stopped and fully engaged with something there in the center of this mass of onlookers. I investigated further, only to find that in the middle of the body of people, was a lone man. He stood there, while 30+ sets of eyes focused on him, he was calm, funny and entertaining. It was an amazing site to see. Attendees, both young and old, were amazed and astounded by the magical act of Phil Smith. He held their attention and made sure to include as many of the watchers as possible. My son and I stood for quite some time, mesmerized with the tricks and jokes that were coming from this modern-day wizard. After a while, we finally broke his spell, and he politely moved down the track a little further, to offer more entertainment to the unsuspecting masses. Phil was never far from the crowd; he was holding magical court and the subjects loved it. Phil, you did an amazing job and both my son, and I appreciate you and your craft. Keep it magical!

An array of oddities indeed and some interesting art/artists. Many items in formaldehyde jars, bones and furs used in creative and Macabre. Bar inside the venue has alcohol and coffee offering. Coffee for me. After going through the whole venue we went to check out the food area also available to us but not needed. Never knew they had this cafeteria. Nice place for all types of venues whether work or personal event, check them out.

Most importantly, during each evening they were able to read the crowd and offer either quiet opportunity for conversation or music that brought the entire group together in music. My company just held a one-day business conference at Keeley's and it went very well! We are…read morelocated in SW New Hampshire and with Portland being a 2+ hour drive, I needed assurance that the venue we chose would understand our needs, meet a reasonable budget, be responsive, impress and not cause embarassment! Our options were Keeley's or a local hotel ballroom. I was the organizer and the more I talked to the hotel event planners with their grandiose menus and high prices, the more I appreciated Keith's straightforwardness and practicality. I signed up with Keeley's. Our conference went quite well with about 50 attending. The generous space that we had included two big sections of the facility with tables and lecturn/screen in one room and displays and buffet in the other worked out very well. Their food as a part of the business special was very good with lots of variety. The day started with coffee, tea and a nice continental breakfast. Nothing fancy, but the smell of fresh baked cinnimon rolls really broke the ice with our attendees, many of whom we were meeting for the first time. The microphones, PA system and projector provided by Keeley's worked flawlessly. The high speed wifi did too. It's a family business. Keith is a good guy to work with: helpful, thoughtful and experienced. They deal with lots of wedding receptions and other family gatherings but he really likes business meetings and understands the needs of a medium sized business like ours. Other good things: Lots of (free) parking. A well kept building. Responsive staff. Timely food service. Good coordination with our needs. Easy access from I-95. 15 minutes from downtown.

You won't find a better deal than that. Apart from being affordable the service was amazing and friendly. They were so accommodating and flexible and the food was fantastic. We had a very touch and go sort of reception where my husband and I just tossed in new activities as people started to look bored. It's a wonderful venue and I whole-heartedly recommend working with them. Want to give people a heads up that this is a dry facility so if your wedding MUST have alcohol look elsewhere. My husband and I were happy to save the extra $$$ and go alcohol free.
